Third Person Pov.
"I don't leave loose ends….at least, not anymore," her voice filled the clearing, low but audible enough that the fleeing wolves heard it clearly but that was the last thing they heard before they each met a devastating end.
Two had their necks cracked to the side in odd angles, another two were mangled—their bones were turned to literal dust within their bodies, the last one suffered more since he was the one who said more—he coughed up his intestines and it spilled out through his lips like vomit.
He saw his internal organs leaving his lips but could do nothing as he felt his heart pumping though his throat and then as soon as it forcefully spilled past his lips, his entire body went slack and he slumped to the ground, dead.
Something tingled within her former fragile heart and her face pinched together in a slight show of pain —her heartbeat accelerated just a bit to indicate that she still felt a tad bit hesitant in accepting who she had now become.
But her mind flashed with images and she sneered, these people came from that same pack and while they weren't innocent, their earlier actions were what completely condemned them.
"Same ilk, same manners." She spat as she turned around to leave but stopped in her tracks when her eyes met with that of the man still sitting on the ground, his eyes wide as he fixed it on hers.
" Do you have something to say?" She asked and he took a long moment to respond and her impatience peaked—he looked gorgeous of course but she didn't know who he was and she wasn't about to let a man stop or hinder her revenge plans.
Her fingers subconsciously tightened into fists at the thought but she let none of her thoughts show on her face as she turned to leave but then there were rustlings and then footsteps.
She shifted just as a body went sailing past her to stand before her and her eyebrows raised in question.
What was wrong with him?
" C-can I come with you? I don't want to go back there….can I follow you?" He asked and her eyes widened slightly before it narrowed into slits, suspicion filling them as she looked him over once again.
She sensed nothing from him, but that meant nothing in this world she knew now—if even goddesses could grant powers to a mere wolf-less girl like her, what's to say another can't teach a wolf to hide its wolf?.
It sounded quite feasible but from his fidgety appearance, she knew he wasn't much of a threat. At most she would kill him if he got in her way.
"You saw me kill them…" she stopped to point at the gruesome scene behind them and he visibly flinched but said nothing and she took that as her cue to continue.
"And you still want to follow me? What's to say I won't kill you now and be done with it?" She asked, genuinely curious to know how he'd respond to her questions but she was surprised a bit when he quickly replied.
"I said and did nothing to offend you, but you helped me out…"
"What's to say I won't do that now?" She asked, stopping him and he glanced up at her through his lashes and for a minute, Charlene thought she saw some hostile flash through his purple orbs but it disappeared so fast, she thought she had imagined it.
"T-they were evil, I have no inclination to die as they did. I only seek to walk with you, I can do anything!!" He quickly blurted out before she could refuse and her eyes raked all over him as thoughts filled her head.
The consequences for power still lived somewhere inside her mind, she hadn't wanted to visit it but this man was making her think things she didn't want to think so soon.
If she needed relief from the pain, she could have him help her. Thinking this, she nodded at him then began to walk away.
Although the thought seemed harsh to him, it wasn't as if he was losing out. After all, she was just a virgin and if she let him help her, he'd be fucking a freaking virgin.
Her heart prickled at the thought but she said nothing as she ventured further into the dark woods.
They continued without any exchange for a while but then she felt something coursing through her head and her eyes snapped to the sides but she didn't make any more moves before she continued on her way.
"Here, I got you something to eat!!" The man from earlier exclaimed as he rushed up to her with some fruits in his hands.
She flicked her gaze to it dismissively but stopped in her tracks when she saw something within them, it was a pear fruit—it was HIS favorite fruit.
" Is that…" she trailed off, her eyes flickering as she stared at the fruit and he nodded with a small lopsided grin that soon wiped off his face when he saw the expression on her face.
He glared at the pear fruit she was so fixated by as if it had wronged him before he swiftly picked it up and threw it to the ground—then he raised his legs up and smashed it….much harder than necessary for such a soft fruit.
A small laughter bubbled out of her throat without her even realizing it when she saw his annoyed expression and the way he kept stomping on the fruit like it had fought with him and lost.
He glanced up in surprise but the smile disappeared immediately and she glanced away, her eyes perusing the woods before her and he felt something warm run through his veins.
"I need to do some things, and if you're going to stay with me, I will need your complete and utter loyalty or if you stand in my way, I will dispose of you much faster than I disposed of trash," she warned and his eyes flashed before he nodded quickly.
"I won't—"
" Shush!!" She cut him off, her ears pricking upwards and she felt fur sprouting along her skin as she looked towards the place the sounds had come from.
Shaking her head as voices filled her ears, she smirked and slowly began to walk towards the sounds.
" I never got your name?" She said offhandedly as she walked—her mind not really there as she felt something coursing through her as the voice became more clearer.
No, she had to be sure of it.
"It's Cassius," he said and she gave him a small nod as she came to stop by the edges of the woods, it was like the end of it.
Her eyes narrowed into slits as she stared at the incoming wolves, still bickering and joking like children…each of them a member of Crescent Moon Pack, her former pack.
And that one…the one upfront, with the brown cropped hair that seemed so unruly it hurt to look at, was none other than Gamma Theo.
One of her tormentors—memories filled her head as she recalled who he truly was behind those bright blinding smiles and fake words.
Her Memory Lane.
"....don't you think it's quite funny seeing her like this? I mean, why wouldn't she just be thrown out of the pack? She's actively insulting us without even trying!" Gamma Theo mumbled in annoyance as he stared her down and Charlene visibly shuddered as she tried to shrink in on herself to avoid his eyes and words.
Each of them contemptuous and full of hatred…a hatred she still didn't know how she caused it. Or what she had done to warrant it.
All she knew was that she was wolfless, as if the moon goddess had let her be born just to spite her. She didn't even know why, and no matter how hard she cried to her for mercy and help, she never listened to her or even lent her a helping hand.
It felt as if even the moon goddess was against her and all for reasons she knew nothing about.
"Let her be, the alpha says he has plans for her. He said we shouldn't bother her," Conner said with a smirk as he stepped forward and theo chuckled as he followed behind him.
"I'd follow those orders but the Alpha is still in his early stages of ruling, he doesn't know much about leading. We'll help him out," Gamma Theo whispered, his eyes glinting with a mischievous light as he grabbed the whip hanging by the wall or the dungeons she had been thrown into earlier that day by the beta.
"Wouldn't you just love to see her pretty little tears? Ohh it gets me going when girls cry!" Conner whispered and Theo laughed in agreement and Charlene felt fear fill her entire system.
Not this again! She growled at them in fear but they laughed in amusement at the guttural sound she was making.
Then the whips came….over and over again and no matter how much she screamed for her mate, he never came.
Back To The Present.
Her eyes misted over at the memory, this was the day she should have known something was wrong somewhere but she had been naive, feeling like he wasn't available or he would have come to save her.
But now that she thought of it clearly….much more clearly, she always found it strange that the beta had thrown her in prison without as much as a word, just rough handling and then locks.
Hmm, she shook her head—her eyes clearing over as she realized that some time during her reverie, the wolves had walked right to her front.
They were still trodding down the paths, many transforming into their wolf forms and then back to naked humans and chuckling as they compared their dicks and the she-wolves there flushed red in embarrassment and utter fascination.
Her eyes filled with hatred—those fascinated eyes that had stared at her like beating her up, humiliating her were once the most fascinating thing they had ever witnessed.
Cassius shuddered as he saw her slow smile and then she was gone, disappeared and then she was standing right in front of the moving wolves.
He sucked in a sharp breath—fuck she was faster than his eyes could follow!! He quickly followed behind her but stopped short when he saw how shocked and horrified the man up front was.
His shock and horror were quite different from those behind him.
He just didn't know why.
"Hello, Gamma Theo." Charlene said, her eyes glinting wildly as something crackled to life beneath her skin.
