James' eyes flickered awake as he looked around the vast open plain, seeing nothing except a girl not too far from him. She had long, brown hair with a white streak running through it, and her skin looked pale, as if the sun was afraid to touch it. He felt his pocket not feeling his phone. The last thing he remembers was him falling through a red portal. "Here, my phone call for help," then he was here. He shoots up, running towards her, and she whips her head around, firing a blast from her hands towards him. He dived out of the way. James put his hands in the air, sweating as her hand smoked. She spoke fast, "Where am I?" James spoke next, "I don't know," she blasted another explosion out closer to him. "Why would I know where we are? I don't know who you even are?" He lowered his arm before she did the same. He didn't say everything that was going on in his life, but the main stuff. "We could start by introducing ourselves; my name is James Li. I was born in 2045 in Texas. Uh hhh, I'm 18 years old, what's your name?" She glared at him causing him to think to himself, She is definitely going to kill me. Instead she said, "You can call me Pia. I am 17 years old." They shook each other's hands. James noticed how rough her hands felt as he looked into her eyes, which were a light brown. He blushed to himself but tried not to show it. She looked up at the sky. "We should get going before the sunsets." They looked up, seeing a brighter star than they were both used to. James looked around, seeing smoke in the distance. "Over there should be someone who can help," Pia looked in the direction, then back at James. "You can see that far?" James smiled, "Yeah," Pia glared harder in the distance, looking at him. "Let's get over there and fast before it gets too dark." He looked down at his hand as his golden ring glistened in the sunlight. James thought to himself, "I'm going to find a way home, my old love." Then the voice came back to him, "James, my love". He had to force more positive thoughts into his mind. Looking up, James noticed Pia was a small distance away from him, he ran up to her, "So where are you from, Pia?" She didn't say anything to him, just increased her pace. He got a chance to look at her eyes. She was a standoffish person, "She is so beautiful,¨ James thought to himself. "Hurry, you're falling behind," she said. James started to speed up, about to go next to her, before her hand started to smoke as he got farther away from her. James thought to himself, thinking about his family. Even though his mom Jill and dad Alfred are not his biological parents, they make up for it.
They looked over the horizon, seeing the sky starting to go dark. They kept moving forward. He looked at Pia again trying to talk to her with no response. James started to sweat and started to feel his face, thinking to himself. Looking back at her slightly blushing but trying to hide it. I need to get to you my 'family.'" He started to rub his ring slightly looking at it. As he looked forward to the small house in the distance, someone watched back. "Eve, I found them", the man smirked to himself while looking down from atop a mountain.
Mason's eyes shot open, looking around the forest, hearing the buzzing of bugs as the wind blew over his face. He looked around, trying to locate his phone, as the sun shone into his face. He had no luck finding it. As he looked over, he saw a teenager with a slightly cracked massive red gem sticking out from their chest. He got up and walked towards them, pushing his long tight locks out of his face. The stranger turned his body as they looked at each other. Mason saw his light brown eyes, his soft, round face, dark brown hair, freckles, and bright smile. The stranger looked down and away from Mason, a little nervous. Mason said, "What is your name?". The stranger looked at him and smiled, "Jeffson Abaddon but you could just call me Jeff." Mason responded, "My name is Mason Jones but you can call me Mason. Perchance do you know where we are?" They looked around the very densely packed forest. "Sorry Mason, I do not." They stood shaking each other's hands. Mason noticed how soft his hand was. He quickly pulled away as he was getting hot looking at Jeff. Thinking to himself, ¨No, I am just confused". Mason was looking up at the sun then said, "The sun is about to set soon, we'd better stay here until we have a better plan." Jeff smiled at the idea, "Well we'd better get started, I'll go get some wood for a fire." He walked off into the forest, disappearing. Mason bent down to a small patch of grass, holding hands over it. His eyes started to glow a faint white before nothing happened. Mason's eyes went back to normal. Where did they go, he thought to himself, before Jeff yelled, " I found a creek, how many sticks do we need?" Mason got up, "Just give me a minute I will be over there to see." He ran over to where Jeff was, seeing the small creek. Jeff looked at him with confusion in his eyes. Mason peered back at him as he gathered sticks. "Do you know how to start a fire?" Jeff simply said, "No, do you?" Mason looked at him, getting closer, trying to say something. Jeff got closer. Then Mason turned away, saying "Um, my dad taught me when I was small.¨ He started to add dried plants, rubbing the sticks together to make a small spark. Jeff got up, "I'm going to look for more sticks". They looked at each other once more before Jeff left. Mason stayed there remembering what his dad once said, ¨You can't like boys in that way, it's impossible. You should never date boys." Mason whispered to himself, "I'm going to get back to you, Mom, one day.¨ He imagines her long curly light brown hair, with dark green eyes. He repeated "I'm going to get back to you."
