Ino Yamanaka POV
Something has changed, Ino thought. That same brown haired boy that she used to find mildly interesting was now different.
Ino didn't know how to describe it exactly, but it was as if the boy was more, he felt fuller.
Kento Ichimura if packaged into one word for her would be plain, if not mildly interesting.
Plain in terms of features, but mildly interesting in terms of skills.
The boy often kept to himself, but by no means was he a wimp, or a weakling. Many a times did she see the boy standing up for Naruto, but the knucklehead was more often than not stonewalled, when trying to befriend him.
It was this goodie two shoes attitude plus the boy's rather stellar grade, and decent taijutsu skills for a civilian that made him a target for the insecure Unagi, and his gang of misfits.
Ino for her part, didn't know what exactly to think of the boy but at least she was partial toward him.
He often has this detached presence about him like he wasn't really present with them, but he could be caring and thoughtful when the situation called for it.
Especially that one time when he came to Sakura's rescue.
It didn't help of course when his eyes got all pretty, and purple all of a sudden.
That was why Ino was this close to rousing her friends into helping him, and stopping this farce, when Unagi, and his gang pushed things way too far.
At least that was until Kento held out his open palm toward his bully with a gentle smile and said.
"Sure, grab my hand and I'll show you."
The Unagi boy scoffed at Kento's supposed spinelessness and obliged, but Ino didn't think so.
It was most likely a trick, since she could see a fire burning beneath those pretty little purple orbs of his.
She was definitely going to grill him on the brand of contact lenses he was using later though, but that wasn't important right now since Kento suddenly yanked Unagi back when the bully had grabbed onto his hand.
Unagi was at least quick enough to let go when he felt the force but it was of no use.
Strangely enough, despite having no grip whatsoever, Kento's hand was still stuck to Unagi's as the bully fell forward before Kento quickly dropped down, and sweep kicked the boy's already unsteady legs.
The kick sent Unagi flying forward, flipping a whole complete circle before landing, and sprawling out on the ground, groaning on his back.
The rest was pandemonium as Ungai's goon started rushing Kento before the plain boy jumped to an impossible height similar to those ninjas she often saw alongside her father.
A foot on some boy's shoulder then another on a different one's head before Kento started hopping above the crowd, using different body parts of different people as leverage for each of his jumps.
It was almost comical if not a bit strange though since Kento was heading straight toward the open window three stories high up.
She screamed, and ran toward him in panic when she saw the boy jumping out said window.
Her friends followed, and out of the corner of her eyes, she even caught HER Sasuke doing the same thing with a curious look on his pretty face.
What she clearly wasn't expecting when she poked her head out the window was the sight of Kento standing parallel to her face, and walking on the vertical wall like it was solid ground.
The strange boy waved with a smile before bowing theatrically like a magician getting off the stage and spoke.
"And voila! Now that you all have gotten your answers, I bid you ground walking normies adieu, and without further ado, toodles losers!"
Ino grudgingly admitted that it would have totally been awesome if the idiot didn't let himself almost slip, and fall to his death before catching himself upright, and wall-walking away from her views.
And now Ino felt her face a bit hot for thinking the plain boy was remotely anything close to awesome…
Kento POV
Well that was close…
He really has to up his chakra control elsewise he might find himself plummeting down a random ditch somewhere.
Then there was his new jutsu that he really needed to work on.
The Gacha did shove a ton of memories down his brain but that was only so he could be at least adept in proficiency at the jutsu.
At its current state, the attack was more like a middle finger to all combatants near him regardless of them being his allies or enemies.
And that was unacceptable for Kento who needed this trump card to up his chance at passing the Jonin exam that used to be insurmountable before he got his cheat.
And once he got himself under a proper Jonin tutelage, he was basically fast tracked to at least Chunin with open doors to any department he fancied from the general shinobi force.
Beside the Anbu of course, because Kento would rather defect Konoha than jumping in that meat grinder.
No sir! A slow peaceful death surrounded by his wife (or wives, don't judge, a man can dream…), and their children was what he wanted. Not whatever Itachi, Kakashi, Shisui, and a plethora of other ill-fated prodigies got.
And for that beautiful dream of his to come true, the first thing he needed to do was start hopping on that grind like a proper gym rat!
