Chapter 1 - Episode 1 — The Night She Disappeared

She Returned Unrecognizable

They said it was a party.

A celebration.

A "fresh start."

But the moment she stepped into the room, she knew—

something was wrong.

The music was too loud.

The laughter too sharp.

The eyes… too focused on her.

She paused at the entrance, fingers tightening around the strap of her bag.

"Why are you standing there?" someone called. "Come in."

It was him.

The same voice she once trusted.

The same person who had once said—

"I'll never let anyone hurt you."

She should have turned back right then.

She didn't.

She walked in.

Step by step.

Into something she wouldn't come back from.

---

The lights dimmed slightly.

Someone raised a glass.

"To memories," they said.

A few people laughed.

Not warmly.

Not kindly.

Her chest tightened.

"Sit," he told her, pointing to the center.

Center?

Why the center?

But everyone was watching now.

So she sat.

And that's when it started.

---

A screen lit up behind her.

At first, she didn't understand what she was looking at.

Then her breath stopped.

Photos.

Messages.

Private moments she had never meant for anyone else to see.

Her voice.

Her confessions.

Her weakness.

Displayed.

For everyone.

A ripple of laughter spread across the room.

"Oh my god—she actually said that?"

"Pathetic."

"Was she always this desperate?"

Her ears rang.

She couldn't move.

Couldn't think.

Couldn't breathe.

---

She turned to him.

Slowly.

Hoping—no, begging—that this was a mistake.

That he would stop it.

That he would say something.

Anything.

But he didn't.

He just looked at her.

Calm.

Distant.

Almost bored.

"Why…?" her voice cracked.

He tilted his head slightly.

"You really thought I meant it?"

The words landed harder than anything else.

"I just needed you," he continued, almost casually, "when it was convenient."

Something inside her—

broke.

Not loudly.

Not dramatically.

Just—

silently.

Completely.

---

The laughter grew louder.

Someone recorded it.

Someone whispered.

Someone mocked her name like it was a joke.

And she sat there.

Still.

Expressionless.

Because if she moved—

if she reacted—

she would shatter in front of them.

And she wouldn't give them that.

Not anymore.

---

That night, she didn't cry.

Not in front of them.

Not on the way home.

Not even when she locked the door behind her.

She just stood there.

In the dark.

Staring at nothing.

Feeling—

nothing.

---

By morning—

she was gone.

No message.

No explanation.

No trace.

Just an empty room…

and a silence that felt wrong.

---

Three years later—

someone new walks into the same city.

Same streets.

Same people.

But this time—

no one recognizes her.

Not her face.

Not her voice.

Not the person she used to be.

And especially—

not the girl they destroyed that night.

---

But she remembers everything.

And this time—

she's not the one who's going to break.

---
