Chapter 1 - Enter—The real world.

It was near dead of night, the moon close to being directly overhead. The stars in the sky were gone, the moonlight glistening through the canopy of trees.

Real world District 8, the 'wildlands.'

Within the wildlands, nothing but wild animals and strong survivors remained. This land is a forgotten remnant of a city, once bustling and flooded with enthusiastic and enterprising people.. Now reduced to mossy structures, lush greenery, and harsh cave entrances generated from the tumbling of buildings opening up the ground.

In these wildlands, a group of children somehow managed to survive, however, they all were starving and could not handle much more of the cold. Of these 50 kids.. 5 stood out.

Imani Jabari.

nickname: chain.

SuigetsuSugawara

Nickname: tank

Kouki Kouya

Nickname: Twilight

Hinata Horimiya

Nickname: Hina

Seiza Akira

Nickname: Blue.

These 5 were considered the group's leads. They were the smartest, oldest, and most ambitious. Without any of these 5, its obvious that the other children would be lost and uncoordinated.

Anyway.

These children were sitting there gathered around a large campfire built of scavenged materials and scraps of wood. Though, for some, this fire barely fought the cold.

And calling to action, Imani stood up. 'Alright, everyone!' he exclaimed to the kids. Almost immediately, their attention shot up toward him, eyes tiredly following and ears barely catching his words. 'We set out tomorrow to relocate and gather. We shall find food eventually!'

He exclaimed, doubting if it were true himself, but still hopeful.

Most just affirmed with dry, one-word responses to his speech, however a handful became decidedly hopeful, a small glint of light in their eyes.

And with that, everyone rested around the fire.. Hoping tomorrow would bring a better life to them all.

As morning rose, a few kids were still tired,

slumpt over against trees, on the ground, or wherever they decided to rest. Regardless of that, they were dragged along and the group headed north, or atleast what they assumed was north.
