Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Daily Life of the Uchiha Clan (2)

Asahi quickly crawled over to Kakashi, flipped him onto his back on the tatami, and began tirelessly poking his chubby little cheek.

So this is what Kakashi looked like as a kid… He even has a beauty mark near his mouth.

As the saying goes, "Three-year-olds are annoying even to dogs," but Kakashi was currently at that perfect, entertaining age.

Kakashi stared at him with dead fish eyes.

Asahi, who had been completely absorbed in poking, suddenly couldn't take it anymore and covered Kakashi's face with both hands.

Seriously… why is this kid so handsome?!

He sighed, then resumed kneading Kakashi's soft, squeezable cheeks.

Kakashi, who had endured silently until now, finally resisted—pushing and shoving Asahi with his tiny hands.

Of course, that only made things more interesting.

Still not crying after all this? Now this is fun.

Asahi stared at Kakashi's plump cheek and suddenly had a wicked idea—

What if he tested the elasticity with his teeth?

Of course, he wouldn't bite hard—just a light nibble. His baby teeth weren't even fully grown yet. It shouldn't hurt… right?

---

As Asahi's face loomed larger in Kakashi's vision, Kakashi felt an overwhelming sense of danger.

He immediately began struggling violently and burst into tears.

---

By the time the adults heard the commotion and rushed out—

The scene they saw was:

Asahi pinning Kakashi down and forcibly "kissing" him.

Minato Namikaze: "…Ah…"

Uchiha Fugaku: (`д´)

"It seems Asahi really likes Kakashi," Minato said awkwardly, trying to smooth things over—though he made no move to stop the "affection."

Fugaku, clearly embarrassed, didn't react in time either.

---

As everyone knows, the Uchiha are a clan famous for being aloof, proud, and beautiful.

Kakashi, however, was completely innocent—

Losing his first kiss at such a young age…

Though perhaps "losing" wasn't the right word.

---

A moment later, Asahi completed his "mission."

Ignoring Kakashi's loud cries, he sat up and stretched out his arms, asking to be held.

After meeting Fugaku's gaze, he spoke in a flat tone:

"I want a soft, crispy baked cupcake."

---

The truth quickly became clear.

Kakashi hadn't lost his first kiss—

He had simply been bitten on the cheek.

Several small but clear teeth marks were left behind.

It didn't hurt much, but it was more than enough to make Kakashi cry his heart out.

---

Minato hurried over, picking Kakashi up and gently patting his back.

"Don't cry, Kakashi. Asahi didn't mean it… he was just hungry, right?"

---

Dinner that night was slightly awkward.

Kakashi would burst into tears whenever he saw Asahi—

Meanwhile, Asahi showed zero restraint, staring intently at Kakashi's cheeks the entire time.

---

That night, as they lay down to sleep, Asahi—who was usually quiet—suddenly said something baffling:

"Children are so fun. I want to play with children again."

Fugaku froze.

For a brief moment, he felt like his nephew was a demon.

…No, that had to be his imagination.

It had to be.

---

The next day, Fugaku—the ultimate doting uncle—carried Asahi, who was dressed adorably (and thus highly deceptive), to the clan nursery so he could "play" with the other children.

---

Thanks to winning the genetic lottery as a half-blood, even among the famously attractive Uchiha clan, Asahi stood out strikingly.

Combined with his unique aura—something like the lingering presence of a corporate slave from his past life—even the normally aloof Uchiha children couldn't help but approach him.

And offer tribute.

One by one, they presented him with their snacks.

---

When Asahi deployed his classic strategy—no rejection, no response—and occasionally added a sweet "thank you," the Uchiha children experienced something entirely new.

She's different from the others! Not arrogant at all! So charming!

---

When Uchiha Mikoto returned from her D-rank mission—

She saw Asahi sitting in the center of the nursery, holding a pouch stuffed with candy, happily nibbling on tri-colored dango like a squirrel.

Older children surrounded him, sneaking glances before quickly pretending not to.

---

"Oh my, is the Clan Head so thoughtful? He prepared all these snacks for Asahi?" Mikoto teased.

Knowing she was his future aunt, Asahi chose not to expose the truth and simply ignored the comment.

"But Asahi, don't eat too many sweets. You only have two teeth—your teeth will turn black," she warned.

---

Just as she was about to carry him home—

A boy tugged at her sleeve.

Blushing, he looked at Asahi.

"Will you come again tomorrow? I forgot to bring snacks today… but I'll bring my favorite azuki bean cake!"

---

Asahi poked his cheek.

"Sure. I'll wait for it. I'm Asahi. What's your name?"

"I—I'm Uchiha Obito! Just wait for tomorrow!"

And with that, he ran off, face red.

---

Future major character—checked in.

Asahi thought:

He speaks quite clearly for his age… so how does he end up so dense later?

---

On the way home—

"Mikoto, I want tomato omelet rice. No sugar," Asahi said, tugging her sleeve.

Mikoto sighed.

This child refused to call her "Big Sister," treating her like an equal.

Still… he was polite overall.

---

That evening, she confronted Fugaku:

"Asahi is too young for so many sweets! Even if you dote on him, you shouldn't give him this much!"

Then she fled in embarrassment using the Body Flicker Technique.

---

Fugaku: "???"

Turning around, he saw Asahi proudly displaying his "war spoils."

"…Where did this come from?"

"Tribute," Asahi said calmly while eating. "They think I'm a girl."

---

Fugaku: …

---

"You're not allowed to eat so many snacks anymore."

With a head pat, he confiscated the bag.

Asahi pouted.

"Hmph~"

---

That night—

"I met a cute kid today."

"What's his name?"

"Uchiha Obito. He'll bring me cake tomorrow."

"…Then your snacks will be reduced even more."

"Hmph~"

---

The next day, Asahi returned—

Still wearing girls' clothes.

He waited.

And waited.

But Obito never came.

---

Even when others offered snacks, he politely refused.

"I'm waiting for my friend."

---

By the time Mikoto arrived—

He still hadn't received the cake.

---

That night, Fugaku came home late.

Very late.

---

"I didn't see Obito today," Asahi said quietly.

Fugaku hesitated.

Then gently replied:

"Obito's father… became a star in the sky. He was saying goodbye yesterday."

---

Asahi pressed his face against Fugaku's back.

"I figured."

---

Fugaku turned, pulling him into his arms.

"You won't be alone. I'll always be here."

---

Asahi:

…Damn. That hit hard.

---

Still, he replied stubbornly:

"I don't need anyone. I can take care of myself."

---

Fugaku sighed and patted his back.

"Go to sleep."

"Hmph."

"Alright, I believe you… Now stop pinching me."

"Hmph!"
