Chapter 3 - The Awakening

The sharp clap of Head Coach Ruben echoed across the training ground, slicing through the chatter and bringing every player to immediate attention. What had begun as a routine session now carried the weight of evaluation, of selection, of opportunity. The players quickly formed their groups—main team versus substitute team—but there was a subtle tension in the air, as if something unpredictable was about to unfold.

Among the substitutes stood Min jae, calm yet focused, his eyes scanning the pitch with unusual clarity. Around him were teammates who rarely got the spotlight—Ronan, always reliable in midfield; Luis Herrera, a tireless fullback; Carlos Mendez, a composed center-back; and Diego Alvarez, an aggressive pressing forward. These were players who lived in the shadows of the starting eleven, waiting for moments like this.

On the sideline, Alejandro Ruiz stood with a stillness that contrasted the tension on the pitch. His gaze was unwavering, focused almost entirely on Jae because of his determination . He had seen countless players, countless training matches—but something about today felt different.

The whistle blew.

While entering the pitch Jae's eyes was flickered as some screen was shown in front of him with some data. first he thought it was only a flicker but that has show with voice new bee gift host can claim it now then he understand it was his stats was displayed on the screen with

then he enters the group who are waiting for him on the ground for disccussion.

The main team wasted no time asserting dominance. Leon Garcia controlled the midfield like a conductor, dictating tempo with effortless precision. Marco Silva stretched the pitch on the wing, his explosive pace forcing defenders backward. Within minutes, their superiority translated into a goal—a quick passing sequence, a sharp cross, and a clean finish.

1–0.

The substitutes exchanged glances. This was expected. This was the reality they always faced.

But Jae didn't react outwardly. Instead, he lowered his head slightly, focusing inward. He wasn't discouraged—he was analyzing.

Alejandro murmured softly, almost as if speaking to himself,"Now comes the real test… how he responds."

The restart was subtle, but the energy shifted. The substitute team began to settle, moving the ball more deliberately. Renee intercepted a loose pass in midfield and immediately looked up. Jae had already moved—not sprinting, not calling, but positioning himself perfectly between two defenders.

The pass came fast.

Jae controlled it with the sole of his foot, absorbing the pace effortlessly. Sen charged in aggressively, confident he could win the ball. But Min Jae slowed the game down in that instant. A subtle shift of weight to the left drew Paul in completely, and just as contact seemed inevitable, Jae pulled the ball back and pushed it to the right, slipping past him with ease.

The movement was simple, but devastating.

Without breaking stride, Jae advanced. A defender stepped forward, attempting to close the space. jae responded with a smooth roulette spin, turning his body in one fluid motion, shielding the ball and escaping pressure.

Now the path to goal began to open.

Diego Alvarez made a supporting run, dragging a defender away. Luis Herrera overlapped on the flank, offering width. These movements created a fleeting pocket of space at the top of the box.

Jae saw it.

The goalkeeper set himself, expecting power.

But Jae chose precision.

His shot was low, controlled, and perfectly placed—skimming across the grass and tucking into the far corner beyond the goalkeeper's reach.

Goal.

1–1.

The field fell silent for a brief second, the kind of silence that follows something unexpectedly perfect. Then the reaction came—cheers, shouts, disbelief.

Alejandro's eyes narrowed slightly."He didn't rush… he decided."

The game restarted, but something fundamental had changed. The substitutes now carried belief. The main team, sensing the shift, increased their intensity, pushing higher and pressing harder. Leon moved the ball faster, Marco attacked more aggressively.

But Jae had already adapted.

Another turnover in midfield. This time, it was Carlos Mendez who initiated the play, stepping forward from defense and intercepting a pass. He quickly released the ball to Ronan, who immediately found Jae with a sharp forward pass.

jae didn't stop.

He redirected the ball with a single touch and accelerated into space, curving his run between defenders. Diego Alvarez made a decoy run, pulling one defender wide, while Luis Herrera pushed up the flank, forcing another defender to hesitate.

Renee read the movement perfectly.

A one-touch return pass split the defense.

Jae met it at full speed.

Two defenders closed in simultaneously.

In that split second, Jae executed a rapid double step-over, his feet dancing over the ball, freezing both defenders just long enough to create an opening. Then he surged forward between them, leaving them off balance.

Now it was just him and the goalkeeper.

The keeper rushed forward, trying to close the angle quickly.

But Jae didn't panic.

With delicate control, he lifted the ball slightly with his toe, sending it into a soft arc. The chip floated over the goalkeeper's outstretched hands, dipping perfectly we have to see if it will go to Goal net.
