Chapter 6 - FEI REN SHOWOFF

The three of them formed a small group and stood together, chatting. Huang Ming was quite a talker, and his rambling made He Hi laugh out loud. Chen Xing, on the other hand, interjected from time to time. With his keen eyesight, he noticed that He Hi's eyes seemed to deliberately drift over to him from time to time. The hidden depths of her gaze seemed to contain a raging fire that could melt a person. This made his heart palpitate and puzzled. At 3 o 'clock sharp, Fei Ren, the organizer of the class reunion, stood on the stage and began to give a spirited speech. He said that it was rare for everyone to get together again after several years, so they should cherish this rare time and so on. His speech was full of saliva and saliva.

"It seems that all the people are here today." Chen Xing turned his head and glanced around the hall.

"Our Chief Fei has booked the hotel rooms in advance for those students from other provinces. He is so enthusiastic. How could the students not come? Even those from other provinces came one day in advance." He Li glanced at Chen Xing and smiled like a flower.

Looking at He Hi's smiling face, Chen Xing's feelings became more and more intense. He hurriedly turned his head away to avoid eye contact with her, but he felt increasingly strange. Why did He Hi's gaze at him today seem a little strange?

"Judging from Fei Ren's speech, he is quite like a leader." Huang Ming sneered with a smile. Compared with his relationship with Chen Xing, He Li was an outsider, so he had to be careful with his words.

He Li was the chief of the Local Taxation Bureau. No matter what, he was also an official. It was not wrong to say that he was a leader. He Li glanced at Huang Ming with a smile and then glanced at Chen Xing. He knew that Chen Xing was not doing very well now, so he didn't say anything to avoid irritating his classmates.

After Fei Ren's provocation

After his passionate speech, he won bursts of applause. No matter how sincere the applause was, it was undeniable that it was warm. The local students knew that Fei Ren was the chief of the Local Taxation Bureau. For most of them were ordinary people, Fei Ren had a prominent position and power. Moreover, they all knew that Fei Ren had a good father. Everyone hoped that they could get on good terms with Fei Ren one day. As for the students from other provinces, they were arranged by Fei Ren to stay in this four-star hotel yesterday and received such warm and thoughtful hospitality from Fei Ren. If they didn't applaud enthusiastically, they would feel guilty.

After satisfying his desire to show off, Fei Ren warmly invited everyone to sing together.

In fact, the so-called class reunion was nothing more than a gathering for everyone to chat and recall the good times in college. Then, they would sigh about the difficulties and hardships after leaving school. Then, they would reminisce about the bitterness and the sweetness, or feel sad about the changing of seasons. As for whether or not to play, or what to play, it was not important. The key was that someone had to organize it, and everyone had time to spare. Plus, there was such an occasion for everyone to get together.

After an afternoon of singing at the top of their lungs, everyone's stomachs were already growling with hunger. Some were tired from singing, some were tired from chatting … At dinner time, everyone's appetite was shocking. Although no one ate like a tornado, they slowly cleaned up the food on the table. In the end, when they saw that all the food on their table had been cleaned up, they all laughed at each other.

From time to time, Fei Ren went to each table to propose a toast with the attitude of the host. Only five years after graduation, he had become the chief of the Local Taxation Bureau with real power. Among this group of students, he was considered outstanding, although his performance in college was not that good.

As for his toast, some of the students who used to look down on him in college now had to return the toast with a respectful attitude, which made people sigh.
