Chapter 14 - You're on my killer list

Xavier groans under his mask, "Where's she?" as he loses sight of the lady who blew up the detective.

She definitely knew what she was doing; she's no ordinary girl. Xavier hears a sound coming from the nearby female restroom. He goes in and is shocked to see the lady's clothes in a trash can, along with a pair of gloves—skin gloves that looked exactly like bare hands.

"She really murdered that man? Who is she?" he thinks out loud. He hears a toilet flush, and a masked woman comes out—she isn't the one; she's beautiful.

"Did you see a lady? Beautiful, tall, with caramel skin and long, curly brown hair?" Xavier asks the girl. The girl raises an eyebrow and shakes her head.

"No, Boss!" she says, washing her hands. She is one of the club workers, and everyone there knows the Batman-masked guy is their boss.

"That's very descriptive," the girl says, wiping her hands. "I've never seen you with a girl before."

"What's her name? Maybe I can ask around—or give me a picture," the lady says.

"No. Don't sweat it... Go back to work," Xavier says and leaves.

"Yes, Boss," she replies.

Xavier goes back to the sex section, still looking for the lady. The scene where the detective died is now cleaned up, and everyone has continued with their work as if nothing happened.

Xavier had his men clean up the mess, and in a few days, the detective will be reported missing. He can't risk his business, especially because it's illegal—

"Is she the killer?" he thinks out loud.

"You look like you ate an unripe melon," a familiar voice says, interrupting him. Xavier turns to see a man standing in the entrance, leaning against the door. The man is almost the same height and age as Xavier.

"Xavier, my guy, what's good?" the man says, giving Xavier a firm handshake, which Xavier returns with equal energy. They hug like friends who haven't seen each other in a long time.

"You have the worst timing, Derek," Xavier says as they walk out of the sex section.

"What's got you so sour?" Derek asks.

Suddenly Xavier freezes, his eyes fixed on a woman seated elegantly in the bar area. Derek follows his gaze and also freezes. Her back is to them, but her long, curly brown hair and shiny caramel skin aren't easily forgotten by Xavier. Now she wears a black dress that hugs her body perfectly, as long as her body, revealing just how shapely she is. The dress is sleeveless with a high, thin neckline.

"Whoa. That's so sexy," Derek says, striding toward the woman. He loves sexy women and enjoys them. He's a handsome man—tall, muscular, with six-pack abs.

"I'm getting lucky tonight," Derek says, approaching the lady.

Xavier follows him; he has now removed his mask. No one knows Xavier's face except his friend Derek. Xavier is interested in the lady who killed the detective, a detective who owes him money.

"I'll have what she's having," Derek says to the bartender, then turns to look at the lady. Her ocean-blue eyes meet his.

"Holy Jesus," Derek sang, awed by her beauty.

"Do I have the honor? Just by the way you look at me with those eyes—you know, I'm Derek, my lady," Derek says, taking her hand and placing a kiss on its back.

"I'm Blue," she says softly.

Xavier just watches his friend go crazy over a woman as usual. But for Xavier, this is different. The lady is truly beautiful and breathtaking; seeing her now without a mask and hearing that soft voice, he can feel his arousal. He sits on a nearby sofa.

"You looked good in the mask," Blue suddenly says as she sits down next to Xavier. He freezes at her words. How does she know it's him? Who is this woman?

"Don't sweat it, honey. I have very good eyes," Blue adds as she drops her glass of wine at the table.

"So, you're the killer?" Xavier asks, facing her and observing her reaction. She doesn't react as he expected.

"The killer?" she asks, perplexed. "I was just doing what he asked." Then she adds, sounding as innocent as possible, "Am I going to jail now?"

Xavier is surprised—he can see through her act. But who is she, and how did she recognize him?

"No, you're not!" Xavier says. She's really something, he thinks, noticing her relaxation.

"You're probably wondering how I recognized you," she begins. "I saw you enter that room masked and come out unmasked... besides, you look so familiar, like this isn't the first time we've met," she finishes, taking a sip from her wine glass and then putting it back.

"Really?" Xavier says, completely captivated by her: how she speaks, how her lips move...

"I don't know what that idiotic stripper of yours was thinking. Can you employ some better, slimmer strippers? I got bored in like a second," Derek complains as he sits down across from Xavier and Blue. He notices Xavier biting his lip at Blue before Xavier turns back to Derek.

"This is a first," Derek says happily. Even though Xavier has many admirers, he has never shown interest in a woman. He's always been about his underground business—ruthless and cold.

"Are you a virgin, Blue?" Derek blurts out, about to continue, but he clamps his mouth shut under Xavier's glare as he takes a drink.

"What, let the kid speak?" Blue says, sensing Xavier's glare at Derek.

"Yeah, let the kid speak," Derek says, finally finding his courage.

Blue looks at Derek. "Why do you ask, Derek? He didn't do the deed?" she asks, making Xavier choke on his drink. He looks at Blue, who's now laughing—a contagious laugh he wants to hear all night. Derek notices how captivated Xavier is.

"No, he didn't," Derek says firmly.

"I did," Xavier protests. He's far from a virgin; he just doesn't flaunt it like Derek does. Even though it's been years since he's been intimate.

"Really? I dare you to kiss Blue," Derek says.

"Yeah, kiss me," Blue adds, grinning.

It's a tempting dare, but Xavier isn't going to give Derek the satisfaction of confirming that he's falling for Blue. He's just met Blue; he barely knows her. Suddenly, he feels the most delicious lips brushing his own as Blue kisses him intimately. His eyes widen in surprise, and as much as he wants to pull away, he can't. He groans in anticipation as Blue slides her tongue into his mouth, dancing with his until she finally pulls away.

Derek grins at seeing Xavier catching his breath. Xavier stares at Derek and then leaves the scene.

Xavier steps into an elevator as Blue follows him with her eyes. "He is shy, isn't he?" she says seductively, licking her lips.

"You're very bold," Derek comments. As much trouble as he's in with his older brother for daring him to kiss a stranger, he's glad to see Xavier getting laid. Xavier is always about business and money, with no time to have even fun.

Later, in his suite, Xavier, still in his suit, looks at himself in the mirror and then down at his trousers as his member hardens. Blue is so sweet, and kissing her was the best kiss he ever had. He'd had girls in high school, but no one had ever turned him on in seconds like Blue. He goes into the bathroom and strokes himself to completion. After he's done, he takes a bath.

Then he hears a knock on his door. He wasn't expecting anyone.

He wraps a towel around his waist and goes to open the door, wiping his wet hair. And there she is again.

"I was wondering where you'd go." Blue says as she enters, "You're on my kill list." Blue adds softly, her tone laced with danger, as she steps into the suite. Xavier swallows hard.
