Nova High School was not like normal schools.
In this school, power meant everything.
Students with strong abilities ruled the halls, while the weak stayed quiet and tried not to attract attention. The strongest ten students were known as The Top Ten.
Among them was the King, the number one student in the entire school.
No one dared to challenge him.
A new student walked through the school gates that morning.
His name was Kai.
He looked like an ordinary teenager—black hair, calm eyes, and a relaxed expression.
Students around him were showing off their abilities.
One student created flames in his hands. Another lifted books in the air using telekinesis. A girl ran past so fast she looked like lightning.
Kai watched quietly.
"Wow… this school is crazy," he muttered.
Suddenly, three older students blocked his path.
"Well, well," one of them said with a smirk. "A new student."
Another boy looked at a tablet in his hand.
"Name: Kai. Power level… zero?"
The three boys laughed.
"Zero? So you're powerless?" one of them mocked.
Kai scratched the back of his head.
"Yeah… I guess you could say that."
The bullies stepped closer.
"Then you should learn something about this school," the tallest one said. "Powerless students listen to the strong."
He pushed Kai.
Kai stumbled back slightly.
Students nearby watched but said nothing.
Bullying weak students was normal at Nova High.
The bully raised his fist.
But before he could punch—
Kai caught his wrist.
For a moment, everything went silent.
Kai's calm eyes looked directly at the bully.
Then he slowly let go.
"Sorry," Kai said softly. "I'm not in the mood today."
He walked past them like nothing happened.
The bullies were confused.
But none of them noticed something strange.
For a split second…
A dark energy flickered around Kai's hand.
Kai sighed as he walked away.
I really need to be more careful, he thought.
Because if anyone discovered the truth…
That the "powerless" boy could copy any power he saw…
The entire school would turn upside down.
And the balance of Nova High would collapse.
