Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: A Penny Stumps a Hero

The moment the system prompt faded, Peter felt a distinctly different power quietly being born.

It wasn't like the surging physical might from muscles and bones brought by the lizard serum's modification; it was a more internal, more refined energy.

This energy seemed closely linked to his spirit and soul.

As he focused his mind, this energy could slowly flow through the meridians in his body, bringing a warm and comfortable sensation wherever it passed.

This was Chakra!

The product of combining physical energy and spiritual energy!

"As I suspected, my Chakra reserves are staggeringly large!"

"Besides, this Chakra isn't as useless as I thought. This feeling... just normally coating my fists with Chakra can significantly increase their power."

"Although I'm not sure how much a normal Ninjutsu consumes, with my current Chakra reserves, making a 'ball' should be more than enough?"

Thinking this, Peter immediately began trying to form the ball.

Every detail of Naruto forming the Rasengan flashed through his mind.

Shape Transformation, extreme rotation, extreme power!

To ensure success, he even chose the basic method of using both hands to form the ball.

He extended his right hand, spread his palm, and began trying to mobilize the Chakra in his body to gather and compress in his palm.

The fingers of his left hand moved rapidly around his right, injecting chaotic and high-speed rotating Chakra into the sphere!

Bang!

A sudden explosion rang out.

The Rasengan in his hand instantly exploded due to an imbalance in proportions, whipping up a violent air current in the bedroom no less powerful than a small typhoon.

Peter was even blown back directly, his sturdy body crashing into the already old wardrobe behind him.

Holy sh*t!

Sensing hurried footsteps from downstairs with his enhanced hearing, Peter didn't dare hesitate for a second. He immediately used the power of the horse talisman and pressed his hand against the bedroom floor.

With a flash of light, the messy bedroom was instantly restored.

"Peter, are you okay?"

About ten seconds later, Uncle Ben's worried voice came through the door.

"I'm fine."

Peter opened the door with a calm expression, even stepping aside to let Uncle Ben take a look.

"I just accidentally bumped into the floor while exercising."

"Be careful, son. Even exercising requires a step-by-step approach."

Uncle Ben looked around, and after one last look at Peter to confirm he didn't seem injured, he left reassured.

Only after Uncle Ben left did Peter breathe a long sigh of relief.

In his first attempt to use Chakra, he had basically formed the Chakra ball.

His Chakra control was far superior to the Naruto in the original series.

Furthermore, although it was only his first attempt at using the Rasengan, he had already formed a basic understanding of rotation speed, output frequency, and shape stability.

With his genius mind, he would likely only need a few more tests to calculate the approximate numerical range for the Rasengan to operate stably. At that point, mastering the Rasengan quickly would no longer be a pipe dream!

This was much more efficient than the mindless practice Naruto did.

If the Naruto in the original series needed a week of day-and-night hard practice to master the Rasengan...

Then he probably only needed... half a day?

However, he certainly couldn't practice the Rasengan tonight.

The commotion from a failed practice was just too loud. Any more times and Uncle Ben and Aunt Mei would surely become suspicious!

He'd wait until after school tomorrow and find a deserted place to practice!

As for now... he should think about some other issues.

He first looked at his system.

There were five items left in the system, and he had 2,000 points.

But Peter had no desire to keep spending.

The remaining items in the system, like the Nichirin Sword or Kagune, either lacked matching Training methods or had very low ceilings, making their cost-performance ratio extremely limited.

Instead of consuming sacrifice points that wasn't easy to obtain on these mediocre items, it would be better to save it for next month's item refresh!

"The top priority is still solving the issue of the suit!"

A suit that could hide his identity and was easy to move in was a necessity for his foray into the night.

Peter picked up a pen and paper. With his extraordinary memory and a brain comparable to a supercomputer, he quickly sketched a suit on the paper that was completely different from any other Spider-Man.

Underneath was a tight-fitting black and gold combat suit, covered by a hooded trench coat in the style of Assassin's Creed. The mask was designed as a Skull Mask, the same style as Kurosaki ichigo's.

The overall look was elegant and agile without losing its cool and handsome vibe. It was simply awesome!

"Wearing this set out is going to be incredibly flashy!"

He could almost imagine how many fans and fangirls he would attract when he wore this outfit to act as a hero.

It would definitely be more popular than a certain little spider wearing a black and white ballet leotard (smirk)... But after finalizing the style of the suit... Peter began to struggle.

He had the design, but what about the materials? What about the tools?

Aunt Mei did have an old sewing machine that could be used, but even the cleverest housewife can't cook without rice.

Even if he searched all his pockets now, his entire net worth wouldn't exceed thirty dollars.

This amount of money probably couldn't even buy a scrap of Special Fiber.

As for asking Uncle Ben and Aunt Mei for money?

That thought was extinguished as soon as it arose.

Both kind elders were at the bottom of society, making a living by working odd jobs.

They were already doing their best just to scrape together his tuition and fees. How could he have the heart to add any more burden to them?

At this thought, Peter couldn't help but fall onto his small bed in frustration.

Power, skill, god-level items... he already possessed all the elements to become a superhero.

Yet he was stuck at the agonizing stage of raising funds for a suit.

This was truly ironic!

Peter sat on the edge of the bed, quietly watching the bright lights of New York City outside the window.

Heaven knows how much unknown evil and darkness were hidden beneath that prosperity.

A long time passed.

The curve of his lips gradually became cold and sharp.

To let Uncle Ben and Aunt Mei live a good life, he would definitely take the righteous path.

But... if it was just to earn the first bit of startup capital for his hero career, he didn't need to be so conventional.

As the saying goes, extraordinary people do extraordinary things.

As an Anti-hero, it's perfectly reasonable for me to raise funds by robbing criminals, right?

...The next morning.

When the first ray of sunlight shone into the room through the gap in the curtains, Peter had already opened his eyes.

Without any desire to sleep in, the triple boost of the lizard serum, horse talisman, and Chakra had made his energy peak.

It even allowed his body and newly acquired power to complete further integration.

He could feel that his five senses, strength, speed, and even neural reactions had all improved slightly compared to yesterday.

This feeling of getting stronger every second was truly intoxicating.

After specifically changing into looser clothes so that his physique wouldn't be easily noticed, Peter walked out of the room with confidence.

He chatted and laughed with Uncle Ben and Aunt Mei while eating breakfast, but what Peter was thinking in his heart was:

Today's goals: successfully mastering the Rasengan and... seizing the first pot of gold to make the suit!
