Prologue — The Fall of the Silver War Goddess

The sky above the capital city of Valerion burned with magic.

Explosions of crimson fire and blinding lightning lit the battlefield as thousands of players clashed with a monster so massive its wings alone stretched across the ruined city walls. The ground trembled each time the dragon moved, its scales reflecting spells like mirrors of destruction.

Raid leaders shouted orders across voice channels.

"Left flank hold!"

"Healers rotate!"

"Tank swap in three seconds!"

But at the very front of the battlefield stood someone who didn't need instructions.

A woman clad in gleaming silver armor stepped forward through the chaos as if the storm around her didn't exist.

Her long white hair flowed behind her like a banner.

Her name was Rio.

And above her character floated a title that every player across the servers recognized.

Level 243 — Silver War Goddess

Fifteen years.

Fifteen years of grinding.

Fifteen years of sleepless nights chasing raid clears, rare loot drops, and world-first achievements.

While other players quit or moved on, Rio remained.

She conquered hidden dungeons that most players believed were myths. Defeated bosses entire guild alliances failed to defeat. Her name appeared in system announcements so often that new players assumed she was part of the game's story.

Some players worshipped her.

Others envied her.

But everyone knew the name Silver War Goddess.

The dragon roared, its health bar dropping dangerously low.

Millions of players across the world watched the livestream.

"Royal Knights is going to clear it!"

"The Silver War Goddess is about to end it!"

Rio stepped forward calmly.

Her sword reflected the burning sky.

One strike.

That was all it took.

A flash of silver cut through the air.

The dragon froze.

Then shattered into glowing particles that scattered across the battlefield like stardust.

For a moment, the world went silent.

Then the system announcement rang across every server.

WORLD BOSS DEFEATED

FINAL STRIKE: RIO — SILVER WAR GODDESS

Voice chats exploded.

Cheers erupted from players around the world.

But Rio didn't smile.

Because another notification appeared in front of her screen.

And the moment she read it—

Her heart dropped.

You have been removed from the guild: Royal Knights

"…What?"

Her hands froze over the keyboard.

Another message appeared.

Guild permissions revoked.

Raid access disabled.

Guild storage access removed.

Her brows furrowed.

"This has to be a bug."

Royal Knights wasn't just any guild.

It was the strongest guild in Evermount.

And Rio had been part of it for more than ten years.

She helped build it from nothing.

Carried raids when others failed.

Protected new members.

She wasn't just a member.

She was one of its pillars.

Then the final message appeared.

You have been kicked by Guild Leader: Arclight

Rio stared at the screen.

Her mind struggled to process the words.

Arclight?

The same person who invited her into the guild years ago.

The same person who once called her Royal Knights' greatest weapon.

Before she could react, a global announcement appeared in chat.

Rio has stepped down from Royal Knights due to personal reasons.

Rio let out a hollow laugh.

"Personal reasons…?"

Her private messages began flooding instantly.

Some players were confused.

Some were curious.

Others were mocking.

But one message sat at the top of the list.

From: Reina

Arclight's fiancée.

Rio opened it slowly.

The message was short.

You were getting too famous.

The Silver War Goddess this. The Silver War Goddess that.

Every time someone mentioned Royal Knights, they mentioned you.

That spotlight belongs to the guild leader.

So I asked Arclight to remove you.

Rio stared at the screen silently.

Fifteen years.

Fifteen years of loyalty.

Erased because someone was jealous.

Without replying, she logged out.

The screen faded to black.

And just like that—

The legend of the Silver War Goddess ended.

The real world felt strangely quiet.

Rio leaned back in her chair, staring at the dark monitor.

Her reflection stared back at her.

For fifteen years, Evermount had been her second life.

Her achievements.

Her reputation.

Her identity.

And now…

All of it was gone.

Her phone buzzed on the desk beside her.

A reminder notification appeared.

Visit Mom — Tomorrow

Rio blinked.

"…Tomorrow."

She hadn't visited her mother in almost two years.

Between work and Evermount, there had always been an excuse.

After the next raid.

After the next event.

After the next expansion.

But tomorrow was already scheduled.

Rio grabbed her jacket.

"Maybe some fresh air will help…"

Hours later, neon lights shimmered across rain-soaked streets.

Rio stepped out of a small bar, the cool night air brushing against her face.

She didn't usually drink.

But tonight had felt like a good reason.

Her thoughts drifted as she walked toward the bridge near her apartment.

Royal Knights.

Reina.

Arclight.

Fifteen years…

"Hey! Wait!"

Rio groaned.

Footsteps hurried toward her from behind.

She stopped in the middle of the bridge and turned sharply.

"Will you stop following me?!"

A young man skidded to a halt a few meters away, breathing heavily.

He looked about her age.

Messy white hair.

Nervous expression.

He quickly held something up.

"I swear I'm not a creep! You dropped this!"

Rio blinked.

Her wallet.

She checked her pocket.

Empty.

"…Seriously?"

She walked over and snatched it from his hand.

"Why didn't you say that earlier?"

"I tried!" he said defensively. "But you kept walking away!"

Rio opened the wallet and checked inside.

Everything was still there.

She sighed.

"…Fine. Thanks."

She turned to leave.

But the boy spoke again.

"Wait!"

Rio slowly turned back, already irritated.

"…What?"

The boy scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"My name is Ryota."

"…Okay."

He took a deep breath.

"Since we met like this… I was thinking…"

Rio narrowed her eyes.

"Thinking what?"

Ryota suddenly straightened his posture and suddenly bowed his head toward Rio.

Then he said something so ridiculous Rio thought she misheard him.

"Will you marry me?"

The world went silent.

Rio stared at him.

"…What?"

"I mean think about it!" Ryota rushed out nervously. "You're amazing! You're Rio, right? The Silver War Goddess! I've watched your streams and—"

"WE JUST MET!"

Rio's face turned bright red.

"Are you insane?!"

Ryota panicked.

"W-Wait! I didn't mean it like that! I just thought—"

The ground shook.

Both of them froze.

"…Did you feel that?" Ryota asked.

The bridge trembled violently.

Car alarms screamed across the city.

Buildings groaned.

Rio's eyes widened.

"Earthquake."

The asphalt beneath their feet cracked open.

Steel cables snapped.

The bridge split apart with a thunderous roar.

"WAIT—!" Ryota shouted.

The ground vanished beneath them.

And suddenly—

They were falling.

The freezing river swallowed them whole.

Rio gasped as icy water crushed the air from her lungs.

Her body sank deeper into the dark current.

Her vision blurred.

Her strength faded.

So this was it.

After everything…

This was how the Silver War Goddess died.

Then—

A soft glow appeared before her fading eyes.

A familiar interface.

Just like a game screen.

Words slowly formed in front of her.

Would you like to reset the game?

Start Over?

[YES] [NO]
