Chapter 1 - Ch-1 System Awakening

Morning sunlight quietly slipped through the iron window of a small one-room apartment.

The room was simple. A narrow bed pushed against the wall, a wooden table filled with school books, and a tiny kitchen space separated by a faded curtain. The place wasn't fancy, but it was clean. Everything was arranged carefully, the way someone living alone learns to keep things organized.

In the small kitchen, a sixteen-year-old boy stood near the stove.

His name was Sushil Kumar Mandal.

He had short black hair, slightly messy from sleep, and calm brown eyes that carried a seriousness unusual for someone his age. Standing around 5 feet 9 inches tall, his body was lean but strong from years of doing small part-time jobs.

He chopped some vegetables—potatoes, tomatoes, and onions.

Ever since childhood, he had followed a vegetarian diet. It was one of the few habits he had kept from the orphanage where he had grown up.

Life had never been easy for him. Sushil was an orphan.

After passing his 10th board exams recently, he had moved out of the small government hostel where he had stayed during school. A small scholarship helped him pay for basic expenses, and he worked part-time at a nearby stationery shop in the evenings.

It wasn't much.

But it was enough to survive.

The pan hissed as he poured oil into it.

He began frying the vegetables slowly, adding salt and spices with practiced movements.

Cooking had become a daily routine.

If you lived alone, you had to learn things quickly.

A few minutes later, Sushil placed the food onto a simple steel plate along with two pieces of toasted bread.

He made himself a cup of tea and carried everything to the small table near the window.

Outside, the city was waking up. Distant traffic sounds echoed through the street. Sushil sat down and began eating quietly.

Another ordinary morning. Another normal day. Or at least…that's what it should have been.

He had just taken another bite when suddenly, A sharp pain stabbed through his head.

"Ah—!"

The plate rattled against the table. His vision blurred. The pain was sudden and overwhelming, like something was tearing open inside his mind.

Sushil grabbed the edge of the table to steady himself.

"What…?"

Before he could finish the sentence—A glowing blue screen suddenly appeared in front of his eyes.

Floating. Transparent. Impossible.

SYSTEM INITIALIZING...

Sushil froze. His heart started beating faster.

"What… is this…?"

The screen flickered again.

His breathing became heavy. There was no projector. No phone. No computer. Yet the screen was clearly floating in front of him.

And then—the pain inside his head exploded again.

"AAAHH—!"

He fell from the chair, clutching his head as memories began flooding into his mind. But these were not his memories.

A different life. A different world.

A young man sitting late at night reading comic books. Colorful pages filled with heroes and villains.

Stories printed by Raj Publications. But not many. Just a handful. Five… maybe six comics.

Blurry images flashed through his mind. A fearless hero who protected a city called Rajnagar—Super Commando Dhruva.

A mysterious warrior with snake powers—Nagraj.

And a terrifying vigilante who ruled the underworld of Mumbai—Doga.

The memories were incomplete. Fragmented. Just small pieces of stories he had read long ago.

Nothing detailed. Nothing reliable. But one thing was certain. All those stories belonged to the same universe.

The Raj Comics Universe.

The pain slowly faded. Sushil lay on the floor, breathing heavily. Then the blue screen flickered again.

Memory Synchronization Complete.

Previous Life Memories Restored.

System Installation: 100%

The room became quiet.

Sushil slowly pushed himself up from the floor. His head still felt heavy, but the strange memories were now clear inside his mind.

Another life. Another world. A life where he had been an ordinary person who had read a few Raj Comics as entertainment.

Sushil slowly turned his head toward the window.

Outside, he could see the street sign hanging at the corner of the road.

It clearly read: RAJNAGAR MAIN ROAD 🛣️

His eyes widened slightly.

"…Rajnagar."

The name echoed in his mind.

In the few comics he had read, there was a famous fictional city where a detective-like superhero operated.

That hero was Super Commando Dhruva.

And that city's name was also—Rajnagar.

Sushil rubbed his forehead slowly.

"Okay… maybe it's just a coincidence," he whispered.

But then more small details from his memories surfaced.

The city layout. The river nearby. The central market area.

Several things matched the vague descriptions he remembered from the comics. His breathing slowed as a strange realization settled in his mind.

"If… those memories are real…"

"And if this system is real…"

"Then there's a possibility…"

He looked back at the floating screen.

"…that I'm inside the Raj Comics Universe."

The idea sounded ridiculous.

Yet the system floating in front of him was even more ridiculous.

Sushil leaned back in the chair and sighed quietly.

"Great."

"Out of all fictional worlds…"

"I end up in a superhero universe."

And now—those same characters might exist in this world.

A new line appeared on the screen.

Welcome, Player.

Low-Level Gamer System Successfully Installed.

Sushil stared at the glowing interface. His brown eyes widened slightly.

"A system…?"

More text appeared.

PLAYER NAME: Sushil Kumar Mandal

AGE: 16

LEVEL: 1

System Status: Active

Sushil slowly stood up. His heart was beating faster now. Because if those memories were real…

Then somewhere in this world existed people like Super Commando Dhruva, Nagraj, and Doga. Heroes who fought criminals and monsters. Heroes who lived in a world far more dangerous than normal.

But the problem was—He barely remembered anything about them. Just a few scattered scenes from a few comics. Not enough to predict the future. Not enough to stay safe.

The system screen flickered again.

SYSTEM ONLINE.

Beginner Quest Available.

Sushil looked at the floating text silently. Then he muttered under his breath—

"…What kind of strange trouble have I fallen into now?"

He stood silently in the middle of his small apartment, staring at the glowing blue screen floating in front of his eyes.

His heart had not completely calmed down yet.

A system.

A floating interface that only he could see.

And the strange memories of another life that had suddenly merged with his mind.

He took a deep breath and slowly sat down on the chair again.

"Alright… calm down," he murmured to himself.

The memories from his previous life were still fresh in his mind.

They were not very detailed, but they were clear enough.

But another memory from his previous life suddenly appeared.

Fanfiction.

Lots of it.

In his previous life, he had spent many nights reading online stories about people who reincarnated into fictional worlds with systems.

Those protagonists often did something very important immediately after awakening their systems.

They checked for rewards.

Sushil straightened up slightly.

"If this really works like those stories…"

He looked at the screen and spoke hesitantly.

"System?"

The blue interface responded instantly.

Yes, Host.

Sushil blinked.

"…Open status."

The screen changed.

Sushil stared at the numbers.

"Those look like… normal human stats."

Nothing impressive.

He sighed again.

"Well… at least it's honest."

Then another thought crossed his mind.

If he remembered correctly, many system stories also gave something called a Beginner Package.

A small starting reward.

It was practically a tradition.

Sushil folded his arms and spoke again.

"…System."

Yes.

"…Do I have a Beginner Package?"

For a moment nothing happened. Then the interface flickered.

Checking....

A new line appeared.

Beginner Package Available.

Claim Now?

Sushil's eyes lit up slightly.

"Nice."

He tried to keep his voice calm.

"…Yes."

But before the package opened, another notification appeared.

Beginner Quest Activated.

Sushil frowned.

"A quest already?"

The screen updated again.

QUEST: First Step

Description: Adapt to your new reality and survive your first day after system activation.

Objective: Remain conscious and active for the next 24 hours.

Reward: +1 Random Stat

Beginner Package Unlock

```
Sushil read the quest twice.
Then he scratched his head.
"That's… actually pretty reasonable."
No fighting.
No monsters.
No impossible missions.
Just survive the first day.
Considering he had just experienced a memory merge and system installation, the system probably wanted to make sure his mind and body could handle the changes.
He leaned back in the chair and exhaled slowly.
"So the reward unlocks after I finish the quest."
That made sense.
Systems in stories often worked like this.
They prevented people from becoming too powerful instantly.
Which meant he had time to think.
Sushil looked toward the window again.
Somewhere in this city…
The legendary hero Super CommandoDhruva might actually exist.
And if this truly was the Raj Comics Universe, then other powerful figures like Nagraj and Doga also existed somewhere in the world.
Sushil rubbed his temples again.
He barely remembered anything useful about them.
Just a few scenes.
Some names.
Nothing that could help him predict the future.
But the system…
The system might change everything.
The screen quietly floated in front of him, waiting.
Sushil stared at it for a few seconds before muttering under his breath—
"Well… looks like life just became very interesting."
