The giant building stood in front of her like a dream.
Bright lights.
Cameras everywhere.
Posters on the wall read:
"GLOBAL IDOL PROJECT – 100 TRAINEES. ONLY 7 WILL DEBUT."
Lena Park stared at the entrance nervously.
"Okay… don't panic."
She adjusted the strap of her bag.
Inside were dance shoes, a notebook, and her lucky bracelet.
Today was the audition for the biggest survival show in Korea.
But there was one small problem.
Lena wasn't supposed to be here.
She wasn't a famous trainee.
She didn't come from a big company.
She was just a girl who loved singing in her bedroom.
A staff member opened the door.
"Next trainee!"
Lena took a deep breath.
"This is crazy."
Then she stepped inside.
Inside the Studio
The room was huge.
Three famous judges sat behind a long table.
Cameras pointed everywhere.
Other trainees watched from the side.
Some looked confident.
Some looked nervous.
Some looked… intimidating.
One boy in particular caught Lena's attention.
Tall.
Sharp eyes.
Completely calm.
He looked like someone who already knew he would win.
He noticed her staring.
Their eyes met.
He smirked slightly.
Lena quickly looked away.
"Great," she whispered.
"I already embarrassed myself."
The Judge Spoke
"What is your name?"
"Lena Park."
"Company?"
Lena hesitated.
"...Independent."
Some trainees whispered.
"No company?"
"That's brave."
The judge leaned forward.
"What will you perform?"
Lena tightened her hands.
"A vocal performance."
The music started.
For a moment, Lena felt the pressure.
The cameras.
The judges.
The audience.
But then she closed her eyes.
And sang.
Her voice filled the room.
Clear.
Strong.
Emotional.
When the music ended, the room was silent.
Even the confident boy from earlier looked surprised.
One judge whispered to another.
Then the head judge spoke.
"Lena Park."
She held her breath.
"Welcome to Global Idol Project."
The room erupted with reactions.
Lena blinked.
"...Wait."
She got in.
Across the room, the confident boy smiled again.
