Oliver Miki sat by the window, staring outside. Morning light filled the room, but there was no interest on his face.
Miki: Life is pure pain...
A voice came from beside him.
Bhoot: Same here.
Miki: Boys treat me badly.
Bhoot: Even girls are rude to me.
Miki: Nobody takes me seriously in class.
Bhoot: Nobody takes me seriously either.
Oliver turned his head and suddenly noticed the ghost floating in front of him.
Miki: Aaaah!
Bhoot: Aaaah!
Miki: What are you doing here?!
Bhoot: What did I do?!
Miki: Why are you here?
Bhoot: Eat rice with milk and banana.
Miki: With what?
Bhoot: With your hand.
Miki: What?
Bhoot: Nose butter.
Miki: Seriously?
Bhoot: I was joking. Why are you angry?
The ghost floated a little closer.
Bhoot: Oliver, you should go to school.
Miki: I go to school and you steal food from the fridge? You're coming with me too.
Bhoot: Fine. Let's go. Being late on the first day won't look good.
Oliver picked up his bag, adjusted his red tie, and wore his black blazer over a blue shirt and green pants. Then he closed the door and left.
As soon as he arrived at school, a few seniors were standing in the corridor. One of them intentionally bumped into him.
Senior 1: Can't you watch where you're walking?
Oliver remained calm. Just then, the ghost became visible in front of the seniors.
Senior 2: W-What is that?!
Senior 3: A ghost?!
Bhoot: I'm only doing Oliver's safety check.
The seniors stepped back in fear. Oliver said quietly—
Miki: From today, you're my school escort.
Bhoot: Scaring people isn't bad 😄👻
Oliver entered the classroom and sat at the last bench. The ghost floated at the back of the room.
A few moments later, the teacher entered.
Teacher: Today is the first class. Everyone will introduce themselves.
One by one, students stood up and said their names.
A girl from the front row stood up.
Maria: I am Maria Islam.
The teacher nodded and asked her to sit. Then he looked toward the back.
Teacher: The boy with blue hair and red eyes—what is your introduction?
Everyone turned around. Oliver slowly stood up.
Miki: I am Oliver Miki.
Teacher: Are you from Japan?
Miki: Yes, sir.
Teacher: Sit down.
Oliver sat again. Some students whispered quietly.
From beside him, the ghost spoke softly—
Bhoot: Good introduction.
Miki: Be quiet.
After some time, the tiffin bell rang 🔔. The classroom became noisy as everyone opened their lunch boxes.
Oliver took out his own lunch box. The ghost floated down.
Bhoot: What did you bring today?
Miki: Not for you.
Bhoot: I'm inspecting.
When Oliver opened it, there was rice, egg, and vegetables.
Bhoot: Respectable menu.
Just then, two boys came and stood near him.
Boy 1: You're the new student?
Miki: Yes.
Boy 2: Why are you always so quiet?
Miki: Habit.
Boy 1: Aren't you going outside?
Miki: I'm fine here.
At that moment, the ghost became visible beside them again.
Bhoot: He's eating. Don't disturb him.
Boy 2: Ghost?!
Both boys quickly ran toward the corridor.
Bhoot: Social interaction successful 😄👻
Miki: You made the situation worse.
At that moment, Maria appeared at the classroom door with her lunch box.
Maria: Can I sit here?
Oliver looked at her for a few seconds.
Miki: Yes, you can.
Maria sat in front of him and opened her lunch box.
Bhoot: Interesting...
Miki: Quiet.
Maria frowned.
Maria: Did you say something?
Miki: No... nothing.
