Chapter 4 - chapter 04

"So, next…"

After eliminating these two idiots who wanted to kill him, Arata cast an evil gaze upon the two stunned beautiful girls.

"You, don't come any closer!"

Miru suppressed her fear and bravely stood in front of Eriel.

"Oh, you can still stand? Interesting."

Arata smiled faintly, "Little Elf Race girl, who gave you the courage to stand in front of her?"

"Do I even need to ask? Eriel is my best friend for life, and I will never let you harm her!"

Miru glared at Arata, gritting her teeth, as if this could give her a sliver of courage.

There was one thing.

She had never told anyone.

She liked Eriel, the kind of liking for a romantic partner.

Even though they were both females, she just liked Eriel.

Therefore, for the person she liked, she was willing to sacrifice herself.

"Oh, interesting. You want to buy time, right? But don't even think about it. Under the effect of my Demonic Mist, all teleportation magic will fail."

"What?!"

Miru was startled, looked down, and was immediately shocked.

Her super teleportation magic, which she had cast with all her might, had failed. The light of the magic circle faded, instantly becoming dim.

At this moment, Eriel suddenly stood up, blocking Miru, and stared stubbornly at Arata, enunciating each word:

"Let Miru go. I… will let you do as you please."

After speaking, she closed her eyes, gritting her teeth, looking unyielding.

"Heh heh, why should I? Both you and she wanted to kill me. Now that you're in my hands, why should I let one go?"

Arata looked at Eriel with disdain. Did she really think he was stupid?

"Then kill me!"

The girl opened her eyes and glared at him fiercely.

Fine. He had almost died because of her earlier, so if she died by his hand now, so be it.

"Heh heh, I'm sorry, I have a bad habit. I especially like to say 'no' to people who are full of themselves!"

"You tell me to kill you, but I won't. I'll kill her!"

As he spoke, Arata figure flickered, appearing beside Miru, and he gripped her neck.

A flash of black mist, and Miru's body went limp, losing all signs of life.

"Miru!"

Eriel's eyes widened, looking at Arata in disbelief.

He actually killed her best friend!

Again, he had killed someone important to her right in front of her.

The last person who died was someone she had felt very good about…

"I hate you!"

Eriel's eyes welled with tears, and she suddenly ran to the side, picked up the Holy Sword, and, closing her eyes, thrust it towards Arata heart.

She knew she was no match for him, so this time, she was seeking death.

If she continued to live, she would probably be bullied by this guy again. Rather than that, she would rather die.

Moreover, Arata had just killed her friend in front of her; she hated him to death.

"Splat—!"

The sound of flesh being pierced rang out, and Eriel froze.

A warm liquid slowly flowed down the blade to her hand. This was blood.

What was wrong with her best friend, to use this rare wish opportunity to revive the Demon King?

And the Goddess, hearing the first part of the wish, was momentarily bewildered.

You finally managed to kill the Demon King, and you want to revive him?

Fortunately, the latter part of the sentence helped her recover.

Touching her lips, she pondered for a moment and said, "Revived as an ordinary person? That is possible…"

"Really? Then that's my wish!" Eriel was ecstatic.

"Alright."

The Goddess confidently promised, then closed her eyes, seemingly manipulating something. The next second, her confident expression froze.

"Um, could you perhaps choose a different wish?"

She looked at Eriel and weakly uttered these words.

"No! Goddess, didn't you say any wish was possible?!"

Eriel was indignant.

You are a Goddess; you can't go back on your word.

"But the Demon King's soul is no longer in this world! Where am I supposed to find him and bring him back to life?"

The Goddess looked distressed. Wasn't this putting her in a difficult position?

"No longer in this world?" Eriel asked again, somewhat uncertainly.

"Yes, this Demon King actually had a bit of a sacrificial spirit. Knowing that his existence would bring crisis to the world, he voluntarily allowed you to kill him. Such a person already possesses the qualifications of a hero."

The Goddess glanced at Eriel, then continued, "Such an act is equivalent to saving the world. Therefore, to reward him, the world granted his wish and took him away from this world."

"There's no way. If he were still in this world, his identity would still be the Demon King…"

"Is that so… Then I've decided, Goddess." A hint of determination flashed in Eriel's eyes.

"Mm, tell me."

"My wish is, please let me go to the world the Demon King went to."

"Uh… Alright."

The Goddess looked at her helplessly, only able to agree.

Although it was a bit troublesome, the world had left coordinates when it sent the Demon King away, so it was no problem.

Upon hearing this, Eriel revealed a sweet smile.

"Arata, you devil, you think it's that easy to get rid of me? I still have so, so many things I want to tell you…"

As the Goddess activated the teleportation array, Eriel's figure disappeared.

Miru was now indignant.

What was going on?

The person she liked had actually gone after the Demon King?

No, she had to go too!

Thinking this, her sparkling eyes immediately locked onto the Goddess.

"Goddess, my wish is…"

"…"
