Vincent walked toward me immediately.
His hands moved over my arms and shoulders, checking whether I was hurt.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Did they hurt you?"
"No."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
He looked at me for another second.
Then pulled me into a hug.
I froze.
His arms tightened around me.
"You're incredible."
I closed my eyes.
"You finally know who killed your father."
"And Matthew."
I nodded.
"I finally gave them justice."
He slowly pulled back.
"Let's go home."
I smiled faintly.
"Yeah."
"Come on."
We walked outside.
The police vehicle carrying Marco and my aunt passed us.
I looked toward it.
My aunt.
The woman who had made me food.
The woman who had given me a beautiful gown.
The woman I had hugged just days ago.
The woman I had trusted.
Now sitting behind bars.
Vincent noticed my expression.
He stepped closer.
"Don't look."
I looked at him.
"Why?"
"Because you don't need to carry what they did with you."
I didn't answer.
We got into the car.
The recording equipment and evidence were handed over to the police.
We also had copies of the footage.
The investigation was finally moving toward its conclusion.
