In one corner of the city, there was an old place. No one really knew what it had been before—a school, a factory, or someone's big house. Broken walls, a rusty gate, and a large banyan tree inside were all that remained.
People usually avoided the place. But for Rahul, it was different. Since childhood, he often went there in the afternoon. He would slip through the gap in the gate and sit under the banyan tree. He felt as if the place was full of stories—the walls seemed to whisper about the past.
One day he discovered a small door inside that he had never noticed before. When he pushed it gently, it opened with a creaking sound. Inside was a dark room filled with dust and old things.
In the corner of the room, there was a wooden box. Rahul slowly opened it. Inside were some old photographs, a diary, and a small key.
He started reading the diary. It said that many years ago, this place had been a small school. Many poor children from the village used to study there. The school was run by an old teacher who wanted every child to have the chance to learn.
But one day, a strong storm destroyed a large part of the school. After that, the place was closed, and people slowly forgot about it.
On the last page of the diary, it was written:
"Whoever finds this diary should bring the light of learning back to this place."
Rahul felt a new idea growing in his mind. He decided to clean the place and bring it back to life. With the help of a few friends, he started cleaning the area.
After some days, they made a small study place under the banyan tree. Little children from the neighborhood began coming there to study.
The old, broken place that everyone had forgotten slowly became alive again.
