She laughed as she hovered above a cloud island, reaching for a tiny glowing star.
"Hey! Don't eat that!" the other girl shouted, giggling.
"I'm not eating it! I'm… tasting the magic," she replied, bouncing on a cloud like it was a trampoline.
They ran across bridges made of rainbow light, chased sparkling butterflies, and sometimes got lost in forests where flowers hummed songs.
Everywhere they went, their laughter echoed. It was silly, it was sweet… and somehow, it was always just the two of them.
One night, they found a pond that reflected not the dream sky—but each other.
She dipped her fingers in the water, and ripples shaped their faces side by side.
