Chapter 43 - Chapter 44-emotional speech

While the English moors were sleeping, the manor's media room was glowing. A week before the production moved to the cliffs, a major international news profile on Anastasia had finally aired. Sarah and Beth sat huddled together on the plush rug, the flickering light of the television reflecting in their eyes. Even Cameron had emerged from the kitchen with a tray of tea, pausing mid-step as the screen filled with Anastasia's face.

The QuestionThe interviewer was one of the greats, a man known for peeling back the layers of the world's most guarded people. He sat across from a seventeen-year-old Anastasia, who looked composed, elegant, and older than her years.

"You are the architect of a multi-million dollar empire," the interviewer said, his voice hushed with genuine curiosity. "You manage icons, you dominate the stock market, and now you are playing the lead in what is destined to be a classic. But what I want to know, Anastasia, is why? What was the spark? What inspired a young girl to step into this chaos and become an actress, a leader, a force?"

The Unscripted AnswerOn the screen, Anastasia didn't answer immediately. She looked away for a moment, her forest-green eyes softening in a way they never did in boardrooms. When she looked back at the camera, she wasn't the mogul. She was just a sister.

"People think I was inspired by the glamour of old Hollywood or the desire for fame," Anastasia said, her voice steady but carrying a rare, raw emotion. "But the truth is much simpler. I became an actress because I grew up watching the most incredible performances every single day—not on a screen, but in my own home."

She leaned forward, her gaze intense.

"I watched my big sisters. I watched Sarah and Beth navigate a world that didn't always want to give them a seat at the table. I watched them sacrifice, I watched them fight, and I watched them love me with a ferocity that gave me the courage to stand up. They are my inspiration. They are my north star. I became an actress to tell stories, but I became a force because I wanted to build a world where they would never have to worry again. They aren't just my family—they are everything to me."

The Breaking PointIn the quiet of the English manor, the room was silent.

Sarah, usually the stoic accountant of the Firm, felt the first hot tear track down her cheek. She reached out blindly, finding Beth's hand. Beth was already sobbing quietly, her face buried in a throw pillow. They had spent years worrying about Anastasia, protecting her, and wondering if the weight of the empire they were building was too much for her young shoulders.

To hear her say—to the entire world—that they were the reason for it all... it shattered the last of their professional armor.

"She's just a kid," Beth choked out through her tears. "Our kid."

"No," Sarah whispered, wiping her eyes but failing to stop the next wave. "She's the heart of us. She always has been."

The Silent GuardianCameron stood by the door, the tea tray forgotten. She watched the sisters cling to each other, and then she looked back at the screen where Anastasia's face remained—resolute and proud.

Cameron knew the secrets of the fortress better than anyone. She knew the long nights, the cold calculations, and the "burn" Anastasia felt to keep them all safe. But seeing the vulnerability Anastasia had just shared with millions of people made Cameron realize that the "Princess" didn't need a Westley to rescue her. She had already built her own kingdom, and the walls were made of the love she had for the two girls sitting on the rug.

The door to the media room creaked open. Anastasia stood there, still in her silk pajamas, looking tired from a long day of filming. She saw her sisters crying, saw the television screen, and her expression immediately softened into one of pure, sisterly concern.

She didn't say a word. She just walked over and collapsed onto the rug between them, pulling Sarah and Beth into a tight, messy hug.

"I meant every word," Anastasia whispered into the quiet room.
