A place located near the mountains of the East. Many years ago, during the era of samurai and ninjas in Japan, there lived a young man in a small village.
This young man dreamed of becoming a powerful warrior and one day ruling a kingdom of his own where he could protect people.
It was the middle of summer. A 21-year-old boy named **Sam** lived in the village. He was the son of a farmer and helped his father in the fields every day. The village was called **Peace Village**, and the name truly described the people who lived there.
One afternoon, after working in the fields for five hours, Sam felt extremely tired. His father was working beside him.
"Dad… can I go home and take some rest?" Sam asked in an exhausted voice.
"Of course, son. You may go. You have worked hard today," his father replied.
Sam went home to rest. When he arrived, his mother gave him two pieces of watermelon. After eating them, he lay down and slept for a while. Later, his father also returned home after finishing his work.
It was almost evening, and the moon was beginning to rise. Both father and son were sleeping when Sam's mother woke them up.
"Wake up! Both of you have been sleeping since the afternoon."
They stretched their arms and legs.
"That was good sleep," said Sam's father while yawning.
Their house was very simple. It was a traditional Japanese wooden house with five rooms. Sam opened the window of his room and looked outside at the sky.
Soon his mother called them for dinner. The whole family ate together and then went to sleep again.
Both Sam and his father worked as farmers, so after a long day of hard work they fell asleep quickly. However, Sam's mother slept only about one hour each night. This routine was common in many houses in the village.
The next morning the sun rose, and both father and son went to their jobs. Sam's father went to the fields, while Sam had something important to do.
Sam had always dreamed of becoming a **warrior**, so he went to the house of **Master Hitoshi** to learn combat skills.
"Hello, Sensei," Sam said.
Master Hitoshi was reading some old books.
"Oh, you have come," said Hitoshi. "Come inside."
Sam sat behind him.
At that moment, two young boys from the village were wandering far from their area. They suddenly noticed a huge **stone temple door**.
"Hey, wait! What is that?" one of them said.
They both stared at the enormous stone doors. Curious, they tried to open them, but the doors were too heavy.
Suddenly, one of the boys heard a strange and frightening sound coming from inside the temple, as if a dangerous creature was trapped within.
Terrified, both boys ran back to the village.
"Master! Something is making strange sounds inside the temple!" they shouted.
"Huh? That temple?" said Master Hitoshi. "That place is dangerous."
The temple had last been opened **about 300 years ago**. Since then, no one had dared to enter it.
Later, Sam began training with Master Hitoshi in an open field.
Sam was very weak in the beginning. He had no fighting skills because he had never attended any warrior training school. However, he had a strong dream of becoming powerful even though he came from a poor family.
"Practice makes a man perfect," said Master Hitoshi.
They began training.
Time passed quickly, and by afternoon Sam was completely exhausted.
"Alright, that's enough for today. See you tomorrow," said Master Hitoshi.
"Goodbye, Sensei," Sam replied.
Sam returned home. His mother was worried about him and wondered whether he would truly be able to become a great warrior one day.
That night, after dinner, Sam went to his room and lay in bed.
It was midnight.
He was thinking deeply about how he could gain power and become stronger. Slowly, his eyes began to close.
Suddenly, he felt as if someone was calling his name.
"Sam… Sam…"
He heard the voice two or three times.
His eyes opened suddenly.
"Why does it feel like someone is calling me inside my mind?" he wondered.
He quietly got up from his bed and walked outside without waking his parents.
Outside, he looked around, trying to find where the voice was coming from. He turned his head in every direction, but he could not see anyone.
Then suddenly he noticed **a mysterious person standing far away**, wearing a mask.
"Who are you?" Sam shouted.
The masked person suddenly started running.
"Hey, wait!" Sam yelled as he began chasing him.
The masked man ran far away from the village. Sam followed him until they reached the **old temple**.
The masked man stopped at the temple door, looked back to see if Sam was still following him, and then opened the doors and went inside.
Sam arrived moments later. He couldn't catch the man and stood there wondering whether he should go inside or not.
Suddenly, a powerful wind burst out from inside the temple and **pulled Sam in**.
The doors slammed shut behind him and locked automatically.
Inside the temple there was **complete darkness**. There was no light at all.
Sam felt terrified.
"What the hell…? I can't see anything! What should I do now?" he said nervously.
Suddenly, **a pair of glowing purple eyes** appeared above him.
"Ahhh! What is that?!" Sam shouted.
"Hello… Sam," said a strange voice.
More glowing eyes appeared around him.
Sam trembled in fear.
Sam shouted, "Are you talking? Who are you?!"
The eyes replied,
"Yes. I am the prince you may have heard about in the history books."
"Then why did you trap me here?" Sam asked.
"To help you become a warrior," the eyes replied.
Sam was shocked.
"Really? But how is that possible?"
The mysterious voice continued,
"Listen carefully. I will give you special powers that will help you reach the level you desire. But there are **pros and cons**."

• You will gain powerful abilities.
• You will learn special attacks.
• You will have two transformation forms.
• As you train and fight, your level will increase.

Sam listened carefully.

"Use your **breathing technique**," the voice replied.
"What?!" Sam exclaimed.
Suddenly, Sam's body began to change.
His entire body turned **dark black**, and his eyes turned **white**. He felt a strange energy flowing through his body.
A shadow-like warrior appeared within him.
Sam looked at his hands in shock.
"Ready to fight now?" the voice asked.
Sam felt both fear and excitement.
"Damn… What kind of world is this now?" he whispered.
