The glass shattered against the wall.
Ava froze.
Ryan stood in front of her, breathing heavily, his fists clenched.
"I told you not to talk to him."
"It was just my coworker," Ava whispered.
Ryan laughed bitterly.
"You think I'm stupid?"
Her heart pounded. This wasn't the Ryan she fell in love with.
But the worst part wasn't the anger.
It was the way he looked at her… like she belonged to him.
