The night sky above Lunareth burned with red magical light as Malvyr's army attacked the Crystal City.
Dark creatures flew above the crystal towers while shadow soldiers stormed the gates.
Inside the guest tower, Arian and his companions stood frozen in shock.
"The map is gone…" Arian said quietly.
Draven slammed his sword against the table.
"That traitor!"
Lyra tried to stay calm.
"We must get it back before Malvyr reaches the Abyss Gate."
Arkon nodded.
"Yes. If he opens the gate, the Heart of Abyss will be his."
Suddenly, the tower walls shook violently.
A powerful explosion echoed through the city.
Draven looked outside the window.
"Malvyr's army has breached the outer gate."
The city guards and sorcerers were fighting bravely, but the dark army seemed endless.
"We have to leave the city," Draven said.
"Malvyr will come for us next."
Just as they turned to leave, the door suddenly burst open.
Several shadow warriors rushed inside.
Before anyone could react, dark chains of magic wrapped around Arian.
He fell to the floor.
"Arian!" Lyra shouted.
Draven attacked the soldiers, cutting two of them down.
But more dark warriors entered the room.
One of them raised a glowing black crystal.
Dark energy filled the room.
Lyra and Arkon were thrown against the wall by the magical force.
Arian struggled against the chains.
"Let me go!"
The shadow warrior looked down at him.
"You are coming with us."
Before anyone could stop them, the warriors disappeared in a cloud of dark smoke.
Arian was gone.
He had been captured by Malvyr.
