Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 The Bound Destiny

The morning air was thick with the resonant tolling of temple bells. Three families—the Malhotras, Oberois, and Mehtas—stood at the main entrance, their faces etched with a shared sense of dread. It was as if their fates were tied together by a single, invisible thread.

The priest lit a ceremonial lamp and beckoned them closer. His voice was low and grave.

"The horoscopes of your sons carry the Sarp Dosha (Serpent Curse). Tomorrow is a perilous day. If the remedial rites are not performed, none of the three will be safe."

The three mothers exchanged terrified glances. Naina Malhotra asked in a trembling voice, "Priest ji, surely there must be a way to save our children?"

After a long silence, the priest spoke.

"There is a way... but it is not easy. There is a girl whose horoscope bears a unique alignment—one that can nullify the curse on all three. If all three marry this girl... their lives can be spared."

The fathers—Rajveer, Vikrant, and Raghav—were stunned.

"But Priest ji," Rajveer exhaled sharply, "how can one girl marry three men? What will society say?"

The priest replied calmly, "Sometimes, destiny resides above society. Now the choice is yours: the lives of your sons, or the talk of the world."

A heavy silence fell over the temple. The families looked at one another, then bowed their heads in grim acceptance.

"If this is the only path," Vikrant Oberoi finally said, "then we shall settle this alliance together."

The Girl in the Old City

On the other side of town, in the weathered part of the city, Meher Sharma was brewing tea for her aunt. Her face was a portrait of both innocence and exhaustion.

Her aunt, Rekha, looked up from the newspaper. "Listen, a wealthy family is coming today with a proposal. It's a great opportunity for our Reema, understand?"

Meher offered a faint smile. She assumed this had nothing to do with her.

But later that afternoon, when the three powerful families arrived at their modest haveli and the proposal was made specifically for Meher... the ground slipped from beneath her feet.

Her uncle, Mahesh, asked nervously, "But... three boys? And just one wedding?"

Rajveer Malhotra spoke bluntly, "It is an unconventional arrangement. But in exchange, we are offering two crore rupees."

Rekha's eyes gleamed. Greed instantly masked her humanity.

"If Meher has no objection, then we have no problem with this," she declared without hesitation.

The tea cup slipped from Meher's hand, shattering on the floor. Tears welled in her eyes.

"Auntie... I don't want to marry anyone... let alone three people?"

Rekha cut her off sharply. "Stop thinking about yourself and think about us! Look at the money, and look at the status of these families."

Meher fell silent. She wiped her tears and looked toward the sky.

"Perhaps this is my destiny..." she whispered to herself.

The Defiant Sons

Meanwhile, in three different mansions, the sons received the news.

Aarav Malhotra, calling from London, shouted in fury, "Dad! What nonsense! I am not marrying some random girl."

Rudraksha Oberoi spoke firmly over the phone, "Papa, this isn't a business deal. This is my life!"

Dev Mehta, the calmest of the three, said, "I have always made my own decisions. I cannot do this."

They all refused. But when their parents delivered the final ultimatum—"If you don't come, you will be disinherited from the family business"—the ensuing silence said it all.

After the calls ended, the same question haunted all three: Who is this girl whose fate now dictates our lives?

Meher sat by the window. Outside, dark clouds were gathering—a warning of the coming storm. She had no idea that tomorrow, three faces would enter her life. They would change her destiny... but they might also steal her peace forever.

Who will be the first to look into Meher's eyes and touch her soul? And whose heart will truly accept this "unspoken bond"?
