Chapter 1 - One Piece: Lone Monster  Chapter 1

One Piece: Lone Monster

Chapter 1

Ragnar D. Ron walked toward the vast shoreline, the wind carrying the scent of salt and freedom. He was a nineteen-year-old hybrid of Ancient Giant and Lunarian, a reincarnated soul born into the world of pirates and legends. Fifteen long years of relentless training had led him to this moment.

His white hair was loosely tied back, similar to the style of Yoriichi Tsugikuni, swaying gently with the sea breeze. Dark skin, sharp black eyes, and a lean masculine physique gave him a striking presence, while the black wings behind his back burned with the quiet flames of the Lunarian race. Despite the intimidating aura, the confident smile on his face made him seem surprisingly approachable.

Ron gazed at the endless sea stretching before him, his eyes shining with excitement. "Finally… after fifteen years of training, I can travel the seas." His voice carried a mixture of relief and anticipation.

With a powerful flap of his black wings, Ron shot into the sky like a dark comet. The Lunarian flames on his back flickered brighter as he laughed loudly. "Bahahaha! I, Ragnar D. Ron, am coming to this sea!"

As he flew farther from land, his massive Ancient Giant body began shrinking until it stabilized at about 190 centimeters in height. The transformation allowed him to move more freely through the air while conserving stamina. Below him, the ocean stretched endlessly in every direction, shimmering under the sun.

Ron flew at incredible speed, the wind rushing against his face as he enjoyed the feeling of absolute freedom. Hours passed as he soared across the open sea, scanning the horizon with sharp eyes. Eventually, a pirate ship appeared in the distance.

A grin spread across his face as he descended. "Finally found one."

Ron landed on the deck with a soft thud, his wings folding behind him while the Lunarian flames flickered calmly. The pirates who had been eating and drinking froze mid-movement as their eyes locked onto the tall young man standing before them.

The weaker members began trembling immediately, whispering among themselves in fear. The captain forced himself to stand and pointed a trembling gun at Ron. "W-Who are you?!"

Ron calmly glanced at him, completely unfazed by the weapon. "Do you know where Jaya Island is? And do you have a Log Pose?"

The vice-captain hurried forward before the captain could anger the strange man further. Nervously, he brought out three Eternal Poses along with a standard Log Pose, holding them with shaking hands. "S-Sir, these are Eternal Poses for Alabasta, Water 7, and Sabaody Archipelago."

Ron nodded slightly and took the items from him. In the crew's horrified gazes, the Eternal Poses suddenly vanished from his hand as he stored them away, while he casually attached the Log Pose to his wrist.

His eyes then shifted toward the pirates again. "Do you people deal in slave trading?"

The question caused the entire crew to stiffen in fear. The captain quickly shook his head while lowering the gun. "N-No sir! We are just weak pirates. We only loot merchant ships and small noble vessels."

Ron observed their reactions silently for a moment before nodding. Without another word, his wings spread wide and he lifted into the air again. As he flew away toward the direction indicated by the Eternal Pose, his voice echoed across the ship.

"Good… as long as you are not slave traders."

Ron had always hated slave traders from the bottom of his heart. Even in his previous life, that kind of cruelty had disgusted him, and in this world it was far more common than it should have been.

While flying through the sky, Ron glanced at the Eternal Pose of Alabasta stored in his inventory. The storage ability was one of his reincarnation cheats — a separate space where non-living items could be stored, a place where time itself did not flow.

His powerful wings continued beating steadily as he crossed the vast ocean. As a hybrid of an Ancient Giant and Lunarian, his stamina and physical strength were monstrous even by this world's standards.

Even at nineteen years old, Ron was technically still a child among giants, whose lifespan exceeded three hundred years. He had been born during the Era of Rocks, a time when monsters ruled the seas.

At this point in history, Gol D. Roger had only recently set sail from the East Blue as an unknown rookie. The era of legends had not yet begun.

Ron smiled as the wind rushed past him. He had no intention of worrying about fate or the so-called main timeline. This world was too vast to be bound by someone else's story.

His goal was simple. He would explore the seas, grow stronger, and take what he wanted.

"And first…" Ron muttered with a grin.

"I'm going to Skypiea… and take the Goro Goro no Mi along with the City of Gold."

Ron burst into laughter as he soared across the sky, the dark wings of a Lunarian cutting through the clouds.

"Bahah

aha! I can't wait to see what this sea has to offer me."
