Surviving The Apocalypse With My Toxic Ex

For years,Sheng Yumei had tolerated her overly possessive boyfriend Liu  Yong but when she could no longer take it anymore she suddenly went abroad to take a break from the relationship and gain some freedom for herself. Three years later she returned to her home country at a critical time when a deadly virus had invaded mankind threatening their survival. With severe medical measures such as lockdowns to restrict the spread of the virus and her only brother literally busy battling the pandemic Liu Yong her ex boyfriend offered shelter and Sheng Yumei half heartedly accepted the offer. However to her disappointment, Liu Yong hadn't changed at all instead his possessiveness, manipulation and irrationality had doubled. She stood there staring at the hickeys littering her chest. Purple bruises trailed down from her neck to her chest covering her fair skin not leaving a single spot. Her fingers traced the love bites absentmindedly, thoughts circling back to the previous night . Suddenly she flinched at her own behaviour and pulled her hand away as if the marks burned her fingertips. She hated that the fact that she wasn't disgusted by the marks instead she secretly cherished them. Shortly after, the door creaked open and Liu Yong stepped inside,his gaze landed on her. "Busy admiring the hickeys?" He asked in a teasing tone,a smirk tugging at his lips. "Get lost!" She barked covering her body. "Oh I thought I could add a few more," he said innocently pouting his lips. "Keep your disgusting mouth away from me," she scowled. He smirked cockily then taunted in a low deep voice,"But I saw no sign of disgust on your face last night. You even screamed my name excitedly when I bit your neck." "Oh did I? It's just  a bunch of hickeys no big deal. They're not even half of the hickeys the American men used to give me," she retorted,her tone indifferent. His expression shifted,eyes darkening and he walked towards her with long strides and in a second the distance between them was no longer there  and Sheng Yumei didn't know if she was ready for what was coming .
