Chapter 5 - The Show Behind the Masks

The mansion everyone was staying in was not a normal house.

It was the filming location of the newest reality drama show:

"Perfect Circle."

The show gathered several popular young actors and influencers and placed them together in one luxurious house. Cameras were hidden everywhere, recording their daily lives, friendships, and conflicts.

The program had quickly become famous online.

People loved watching their favorite celebrities interact.

Among the cast were three of the most talked-about participants:

Luna.

The sweet and elegant actress loved by fans.

Chen.

The charming rising actor who many viewers admired.

And Aria.

A quiet actress who had recently become popular but often stayed in the background.

The entire show was organized by a powerful entertainment company.

And the owner of that company…

Was Kim Min-jae.

The cold CEO who rarely appeared on camera but sometimes visited the filming house to check the production.

Aria's New Reality

When Ji-won entered the novel, she didn't immediately understand everything.

But after looking through Aria's memories, she realized something important.

This story was not just about romance.

It was about image.

Actors pretending to be friends.

Smiles hiding rivalry.

Kindness hiding manipulation.

And the person who played the sweetest role in the entire show—

Was Luna.

To the public, Luna was famous for being kind and caring. She often appeared on camera hugging her friends and calling them her "best friends forever."

But behind the cameras…

She treated those same people like tools.

Using them when it helped her popularity.

Then quietly pushing them away.

Ji-won hated that kind of person the most.

The System's New Task

That night, after the strange encounter in Kim Min-jae's room, the system spoke again.

[New Task Issued.]

Aria sat on her bed, staring at the ceiling.

"Please don't say something insane again."

The mechanical voice continued.

[Next Episode Objective: Reveal Luna's lies about her 'best friends'.]

Aria slowly sat up.

"Oh."

A small smile appeared on her face.

"That one I can do."

The Next Filming Day

The next morning the house was lively again.

Staff members prepared cameras while the actors gathered in the large living room for the next episode's filming.

Luna sat comfortably on the sofa with several girls around her.

She laughed softly, holding one girl's hand.

"You know you're my closest friend here," Luna said warmly.

The cameras loved moments like this.

Fans online always commented about how kind Luna was.

Aria stood near the doorway watching everything.

Her eyes were calm.

"Acting level: impressive," she thought.

Across the room, Kim Min-jae was speaking quietly with the production team.

But suddenly—

He heard her voice again.

Inside his mind.

"Let's see how long that fake friendship lasts."

Min-jae slowly looked up.

His eyes found Aria immediately.

She wasn't even looking at him.

Yet he heard every thought clearly.

The Game Begins

The director clapped his hands.

"Today we're filming a friendship challenge."

Everyone gathered around.

The rules were simple.

Each participant would talk about their closest friend in the house and share a memory together.

It sounded harmless.

But Aria knew exactly what she was doing.

Luna went first.

She smiled sweetly at the cameras.

"I'm really grateful for the friends I've made here," she said softly.

She pointed to two girls sitting beside her.

"These two are especially important to me."

The girls smiled happily.

The audience watching the show would love this moment.

But Aria quietly raised her hand.

"Can I say something?"

The room became quiet.

Chen looked at her in surprise.

Aria usually stayed silent during filming.

The director nodded.

"Sure."

Aria walked slowly toward the center of the room.

Then she looked directly at Luna.

"You said they're your closest friends."

Luna nodded gently.

"Of course."

Aria tilted her head slightly.

"That's strange."

Chen frowned.

"What do you mean?"

Aria spoke calmly.

"Because two days ago you told the staff that one of them was ruining your screen time."

The room froze.

One of the girls turned pale.

"…What?"

Luna's smile trembled slightly.

"That must be a misunderstanding."

Aria continued casually.

"And yesterday you told the other one she should act cuter because viewers might replace her otherwise."

The second girl stared at Luna in shock.

"Luna… you said that?"

Luna quickly tried to recover.

"Aria, you must have heard wrong—"

"Oh relax," Aria interrupted calmly.

"I'm just repeating what you said."

The room filled with awkward silence.

Chen looked at Luna, confused.

"That doesn't sound like you…"

Across the room, Kim Min-jae watched quietly.

Another thought echoed in his mind.

"Let's see how you escape this one."

Min-jae's gaze sharpened.

This girl was dangerous.

Not because she was loud.

But because she spoke the truth without hesitation.

Meanwhile Luna felt something she rarely experienced.

Pressure.

For the first time since the show began—

Someone had openly challenged her perfect image.

And the cameras were recording everything.
