Chapter 49 - 49

Chapter 49 The Outer Path Golem vs. the Giant DorryAs long as Luffy has enough chakra, theoretically he could create an army of hellhounds capable of devouring the world.

With Nagato's monstrous chakra reserves from the Uzumaki clan, creating hundreds would be child's play.

Soon, over a dozen mountain-sized Brachiosaurus were bitten and mangled by the hellhounds, screaming in agony.

The leader let out a wail and led his people in a hasty retreat, leaving behind only a few unfortunate corpses.

"Hehehehehe!"

Suddenly, a unique laugh came from overhead, shaking the leaves to their ears.

Everyone looked up sharply and saw a giant over 20 meters tall with a long beard standing on the edge of a cliff, looking down at them and laughing.

"Really?! There really is a giant!"

Zoro and Sanji gasped, their necks aching from looking up. "So big!"

"You little brats actually dared to fight the long-necked monsters of this forest! You're truly courageous warriors! It's been a long time since I've seen such interesting guests! Hehehehe!"

Luffy smiled slightly and called out, "The strongest warrior of Elbaf Village, 'Blue Oni' Dorry! I haven't mistaken you for someone else, have I?"

The giant froze, a hint of surprise flashing in his enormous eyes: "So, after all these years, my name still resonates on the seas? Hehehehe!"

Zoro and Sanji turned to look at Luffy in disbelief, their voices trembling: "Don't tell me this giant is the wanted criminal you were talking about?"

Luffy nodded with a grin: "Of course, one of the former captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates, 'Blue Oni' Dorry, bounty 100 million Berries! The real deal!"

Zoro and Sanji instantly went berserk, roaring at Luffy: "Holy crap! You didn't say it was a giant! Do you think we can handle this? This isn't even in the same league!"

"Hehehehe!"

Dornry's laughter made the whole mountain tremble, "Are you bounty hunters after my head?"

Luffy smiled and pointed to the justice cloak fluttering behind him: "No, we're the Marines."

Dornry paused, stroking his beard: 'The Marines are so humane now? They even get a commission for catching pirates?'

Luffy laughed and shouted at Dorry, "Don't get me wrong, I'm not here to capture you. My purpose here is simple—I'm here to recruit you two as my underlings!"

Dongry's massive, mountain-like body stood tall. He lowered his head, his eyes filled with undisguised contempt, as if looking at an insignificant ant.

"Although your skills seem passable for a small fry, thinking you can make the strongest warrior of Elbaf bow down with your meager abilities and this little puppy is simply wishful thinking!"

Judging from the stark difference in size alone, Luffy wasn't even as thick as one of Dorry's fingers.

Luffy wasn't annoyed; a playful smile even played on his lips. "Just brute force against me? I definitely have no chance. I didn't intend to use that move anyway."

He paused, his eyes sharpening. "How about we make a bet?"

Dongry hesitated, a hint of confusion appearing on his enormous face. "What do you want to bet on?"

"The bet is simple. If I win, I'll return to Little Garden someday. Then you'll have to call Brogy and set sail again, bringing the entire village of Elbaf to my side."

Luffy's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable firmness.

"You have quite the appetite, wanting us noble giants to become the Navy's lackeys?"

Donry frowned, his powerful voice shaking the surrounding leaves.

Luffy shook his head, his tone becoming meaningful: "Not joining that corrupt Navy, but pledging allegiance to 'me' personally."

He knew perfectly well that the World Government's old foxes were masters of manipulation, having completely fooled Elbaf, and that nun had become a close friend to these honest giants.

Right now, those Five Elders didn't believe Luffy could awaken the legendary Nika Fruit.

Therefore, they would never risk a complete falling out with Marine hero Garp to prematurely kill Luffy, this "rising star of the Marines."

After all, Luffy's current identity is that of a legitimate Marine, not one of those wanted pirates.

If Luffy became a pirate, and the World Government were to take drastic measures, Garp, for the sake of his sense of justice, would at most secretly help his grandson.

But if Luffy were to don the Marine coat, and the Five Elders dared to openly kill him, Garp would absolutely explode in anger, and might even lead a large number of his Marine confidants in a rebellion against the World Government.

Killing the grandson of a Marine hero simply because of a vague legend—Garp would absolutely not swallow this insult.

Remember, when Ace died, Garp almost went berserk and wanted to kill Akainu on the spot, and ultimately became disheartened and semi-retired, no longer involved in frontline combat.

It's precisely because Luffy has mastered this trump card that he dares to mingle so confidently within the Marines.

He's not like those powerless, pathetic little minions from Ohara, relying on powerful backers for protection. As long as he stands under the banner of "justice,"

the World Government wouldn't dare lay a finger on him!

If a real conflict were to break out, Luffy is absolutely confident he can strike at the root of the problem, completely dismantling the Marine system.

In terms of prestige among the Marine's lower ranks, Garp's old face is far more effective than the Five Elders.

He'll find some time later to make his presence felt by visiting Zephyr and recruiting this former Marine Admiral with his vast network of protégés.

Then, Luffy is 100% confident he can get the entire Marine force to defect, breaking free from the World Government's control!

As for the military budget to support so many people?

What a joke! Does he really think his father, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, is just a figurehead?

They're engaged in a revolutionary cause to overthrow tyranny, not some bandit gang.

The Revolutionary Army has a massive popular base. If the regular Navy were to collectively defect, Dragon would probably be overjoyed, wholeheartedly supporting it.

Therefore, as long as the Gum-Gum Fruit hasn't awakened, the World Government won't dare touch him.

Even if it does awaken, at most they'll send those CP0 rats who only know how to hide in the gutter to sabotage him, creating various "accidental deaths."

The giants, as the most mysterious, powerful, and central race in the One Piece world, have long been coveted by Luffy.

The former strongest warriors of Elbaf, Dorry and Brogy, seemed like the perfect opening.

Before randomly obtaining the Pain template, Luffy planned to play it safe, like in the original story, using Mr. 3's schemes to build up his favor.

He intended to return and subdue these two behemoths once he had gained more strength.

However, after randomly obtaining the Nagato template and gaining the power of the Rinnegan, Luffy's plans immediately changed.

For Elbaf, the world's strongest nation that reveres strength, a powerful fighter is far more respectable than a wise strategist.

Furthermore, Dorry and Brogy had been fighting on this desolate island for a hundred years; their stamina and weapons were worn down, significantly reducing their strength. This was precisely the source of Luffy's confidence to challenge them.

"Giegiegie!"

Upon hearing Luffy's words, Dorry burst into thunderous laughter, "Good lad, since you're so confident, let's have a good fight!"

Luffy's lips curled slightly upward, his body defying the laws of gravity as he slowly rose into the air, instantly reaching Dorry's eye level.

Below, Vivi watched in utter shock, frozen in place. She turned to Zoro and Sanji, anxiously shouting, "Are you crazy? Stop him! There's no way he can win against that size difference!"

"Why can't he win?"

Zoro raised an eyebrow, his eyes filled with absolute trust in his captain. In his eyes, Luffy, who could defeat Mihawk, possessed unfathomable strength.

Sanji calmly nodded, exhaling a smoke ring. "Don't worry, he won't die. At worst, we'll just lose."

Just then, a deafening roar erupted from the distant volcano.

Dorry's raised giant sword froze in mid-air.

"Giegiegie, wait a minute, Marine kid. My duel with that old guy is over. Let me keep my appointment, then we'll continue!"

Dongry laughed and turned to turn away.

Luffy, however, remained suspended in the air, his tone calm: "No need for that. I think Brogy's situation is similar to yours."

"Similar to mine? What do you mean?"

Dongry froze, his enormous eyes filled with confusion.

The next second, a deafening roar came from the other side of the island, the ground trembling.

Meanwhile, where the Going Merry was docked.

Nami and Usopp were hugging each other, tears streaming down their faces, watching in horror as six figures surrounded and attacked the giant Brogy.

"This isn't protecting us at all!"

Nami cried out, tears welling in her eyes, looking at the enormous, monstrous bird in the sky. "It's just bringing us disaster!"

Just moments ago, Broki had suddenly appeared beside the Going Merry, begging for a drink, scaring the two of them into playing dead.

But then Payne leaped out from the mouth of a chameleon, demanding to subdue Broki, even wagering the ship's liquor.

A single word was enough to ignite a fierce fight between them.

In the sky, six figures stood steadily on the back of the summoning beast named Yagami. Shura Path launched the first attack, his body instantly transforming, unleashing a barrage of missiles and heavy weapons upon Brogy like a torrential downpour.

A deafening explosion instantly reverberated through the sky, flames shooting skyward.

This was the same loud bang that Dorry and Luffy had just heard.

"Giegiegie!"

Dongry reacted, bursting into laughter: "Good lad, you actually want to fight both of us at once? I take the bet! If you can really win, I'll gladly be your subordinate!"

Before his words even finished, the giant sword in Dorry's hand, whipped around by a gust of wind, slashed fiercely down towards Luffy.

To Luffy, the massive blade looked like a collapsing building crashing down.

At this time, Zoro was far from being as powerful as he would be two years later. Faced with this earth-shattering attack, both he and Sanji couldn't help but feel a chill run down their spines.

Facing the full-force attack of a 22-meter-tall giant, Zoro didn't even dare to think about how to block it.

But Luffy, watching the descending giant sword, showed no fear. He slammed his hands into the ground: "Summoning: Gedo Mazo!"

Boom!

A withered, wood-colored giant, countless times more terrifying than Dorry, burst from the earth, soaring into the sky!

A massive cloud of dust instantly engulfed Luffy's figure; the Ten-Tails' husk—the Gedo Mazo—had descended!

The previously enormous Dorry instantly became like a toddler before this behemoth.

"What...what kind of monster is this?!"

Dorry was completely dumbfounded, staring blankly at the giant wooden figure that had suddenly appeared before him.

As a giant, he had always been proud of his 22-meter height.

But the Gedo Mazo before him was comparable in size to the legendary Oars the Demon of the Land of the Rising Sun.

The colossal Gedo Mazo roared inhumanly, raising its massive fist and slamming it directly at Dorry!

In a panic, Dorry could only raise his longsword to block the attack.

Boom!

An explosion far exceeding any previous attack reverberated throughout the small garden.

Even the formidable Dorry experienced for the first time the true meaning of absolute, overwhelming power.

He was sent flying backward by the Gedo Mazo's powerful punch, carving a deep chasm in the ground.

"Giegiegie! That was exhilarating!"

Though Dorry was battered, his fighting spirit burned even brighter. He looked up at the 70-meter-tall Gedo Mazo, his eyes filled with excitement.

Meanwhile, Brogy's battle with Pain was also interrupted by the commotion. Brogy stared in astonishment at the colossal statue that had suddenly risen in the distance, his mind reeling.

Pain, expressionless and with the air of a charlatan, slowly spoke: "We are messengers of God. Your companions, like you, have sworn an oath to God. Now, I will show you the true power of God."

Pain clasped his hands together, and a small, jet-black sphere instantly materialized in his palms.

He casually tossed the black sphere into the sky, and a terrifying, heart-stopping suction force erupted from it.

"Planetary Devastation!!!"

Pain uttered a low shout.

Countless rocks and trees on the ground seemed to lose gravity, flying wildly into the sky.

Even the mountains formed from the fossilized remains of giant sea kings instantly crumbled into fragments, sucked into the air.

Broki stared at the sky in shock: "Is that... a black hole?"

Before he could react, he was uncontrollably floating upwards!

This scene was naturally witnessed by Dorry in the distance.

"Broki?!"

Dongry roared in shock, wanting to rush to his aid.

Luffy's lips curled into a wicked, maniacal smile: "You dare to be distracted while fighting me? You're asking for death!"

The nearly 100-meter-tall Gedo Mazo raised its fist again and slammed it down. The enormous size difference brought a devastating suppression of power, just like when Little Oars faced the Giant Vice Admiral. Dorry was sent flying without any resistance.

Boom!

Immediately afterward, the entire world seemed to be engulfed by blinding lightning, and a deafening roar caused everyone to experience a brief period of deafness.

A bolt of lightning, over ten meters thick, descended from the sky, striking Dorry precisely.

Dongry screamed, his massive body convulsed a few times, and he immediately lost consciousness.

Meanwhile, Brogy was struggling frantically in the sky, but against the formidable "meat-resistant" technique of the Naruto world, any struggle was futile.

Countless boulders enveloped Brogy layer by layer, ultimately sealing him firmly within a giant sphere of earth, suspended high in the air like a newly formed satellite.

Roar!!!

The Gedo Mazo let out another deafening roar, proclaiming its unparalleled terror.

Sanji, Zoro, and the others stared dumbfounded at the gigantic Gedo Mazo, then at the newly appeared "star" in the sky, their minds completely blank.

"Is this even humanly possible?!"

"They...they won?"

Everyone stared in utter disbelief at Dorry lying on the ground and Brogy sealed in the sky.

Suddenly, the eight-foot bird in the sky vanished instantly.

The Six Paths of Pain lost momentum like dumplings being dropped into a pot, plummeting towards the ground.

The Gedo Mazo also exploded with a "bang," turning into a cloud of white mist and disappearing without a trace, leaving only a mess.

"Luffy?"

Zoro snapped out of his shock and turned in astonishment to look at Luffy's location.

He found that the once spirited Luffy was now shriveled up like a dried corpse, his hair completely white, looking like an old man on his deathbed, his breathing so weak he was almost suffocating.

"Luffy! What happened to you?!"

Zoro and the others were terrified and scrambled over to him.

Luffy struggled to raise his withered right hand, his middle finger trembling as he forced out a single word: "Chao!"

The next second, his arm fell limply to his side, and he fell completely silent.

"Luffy!!"

Zoro and the others screamed in agony.

Judging by his appearance, Luffy had clearly brought this upon himself.

Just then, a golden seagull-shaped symbol suddenly flashed on Luffy's chest. Immediately afterward, his shriveled body inflated rapidly, turning a ruddy color, and his once pale hair visibly returned to black.

CODE!

Forcibly freezing the user's state at its peak forever!

"Holy crap!"

Luffy roared, sitting bolt upright like a zombie.

Zoro and his two companions, who had just begun to prepare for a mournful cry, were instantly terrified, their eyes nearly popping out of their sockets: "He's come back to life again?!"

Luffy rubbed his stiff arm, cursing, "This is fucking too difficult. Summoning the Gedo Mazo at the same time, plus sealing the giant with Chibaku Tensei—the energy drain is simply unbearable."

The Rinnegan, as the foremost of the three great dojutsu, is known as the "eye that controls life and death," originating from the Otsutsuki clan and the ultimate power of the God Tree's chakra fruit.

Without the corresponding Sage Chakra and bloodline support, forcibly using it will frantically devour the user's life force.

While Luffy's physical abilities are ridiculously strong, maintaining such a high-level operation as the Gedo Mazo and sealing the giant simultaneously consumes an astronomical amount of chakra.
