It was a dark and cold room, bound to the floor with heavy chains as I struggled to be free. It hurt more to know that this waw done to me by my family.
Why? Because I was not the perfect golden child that they wanted. That the pack wanted. Apparently, this all happened to me because of my twin sister Keisha and the fact that my fathe, Beta Daniel was mated to a human, Sonia Reyes.
At age 13,my sister did her first shift. The pack thought I was going to be a late shifter but after consultation with some witches, I found out that my blood type was differ from the others.
As product of a human, the pack took me as that. A slave..an outcast. The daughter of a Beta reduced to a common Omega..even less.
My body felt limp. Every movement sending a jolt of pain surge in my body. Then, I heard footsteps descend down the dungeon stairs. The clang of metal clanging as the door got unlocked made my entire body tremble in fear.
As I was expecting, nothing good could come out from it for the person behinf the door was no other than the king himself, Alpha Diego, glaring at me with bloodshot eyes laced with fury. Beside him was his son Kaelan Blackwood who had his hand intertwined with my sister's.
"So you were the one who tried to poison me and to what gain" He asked in a deep monotone.
My breath hitchee as I realized why I had been in this dungeon all along. It was all my sister's doing and my fault for trying to play hero at saving the king's life.
"It wasn't me. I swear it wasn't.. You have to believe me I was only trying to save you" I managed to say.
A sharp kick landed at my side causing me to cough out blood "you fool, save your lies and cries for trial"
Trial!? The same triwls my mum had to suffer before leaving this pack? I had to do something.. I really had to "Alpha Diego. Please I don't want to suffer trial. Forgive me please. I'll do anything, anything but trial" I begged desperately but it all fell on deaf ears.
This time, I was kicked directly on my stomach "Don't you ever refer to me as your aalpha, wench. And never again try using your disgusting pleas on me"
"Guards"he shouted " Take this abomination to the trial ground and have the pack membwrs present too. Two hefty men in armors came in and freed me from the chains, then, they dragged me outside.
The light outside was blinding. It's what I had wished for the day I was brought down into this dungeon but now, I want that wish reversed. If only I wasn't the one to stop my sister. If only someone loyal to tje king witnessed it as I did.
Tears slipped out the corner of my eyes, I couldn't stop them from flowing. We reached the trial ground and the pack was waiting for me and staring as though I was something that never should have existed.
Maybe it was true, I never should have.
The guards shoved me to the floor and the impact made me bruise my knees real bad.
Alpha Diego took his seat "people of Silver Shadow pack , few days ago this..misfit tried to poison my wine during my anniversary. Today, I let you all decide what her trial should be".
The people rejoiced. They have been waiting for this day to come. Well, the sooner I die, the better for me.
