Nyra point of view-
Music pulsed thought the crowded room as laughter and voices filled the air.
I was standing in the balcony looking down at the bright city lights below. The party inside the room was loud, but the cold night air outside felt calm
"why are you standing here alone?" Lyra asked
"just needed some air" I said
Behind her Raven walked out onto the balcony as well.
"you two disappeared," Raven said. "I thought you ditched me."
Lyra laughed softly. "we'd never leave you.''
We three has been friends for years now. Nights like this was rare, especially for me
My father-one of the most famous scientists in the country-was rarely home. Because of his work, I had grown used to spending most nights alone.
So when Raven suggested going to a party, I had decided to finally relax for once.
But something about the night felt strange.
I'm going out for a walk, I said
but Lyra stopped me saying it was not safe at night even though it was only 2:15 am
"Let's all go out even i need some fresh air to breath." Said Raven.
We three decided to step out and walk down the quiet street.
The city was mostly silent now.
Streetlights flickered above us as our footsteps echoed on the pavement.
"Do you guys feel that?" Lyra asked quietly.
"Feel what?" I asked
"Like... someone's watching us."
Raven frowned and glanced around the dark empty street.
"Probably just your imagination."
Something didn't feel right.
The street behind us suddenly went dark.
A black van slowly rolled to a stop nearby.
Raven turned. "that's weird."
Before any of us could react-
Several masked figures rushed towards them.
"What-?!" Lyra gasped.
I tried to run, but strong hands grabbed my arms.
Lyra screamed.
"Let us go!" Raven shouted.
Everything happened too fast.
Someone covered my mouth as i struggled.
The world spin around me as i was forced into the van.
Just before i lost my consciousness, I noticed something strange on one of the kidnapper' coats.
A symbol stitched in silver.
A bell.
................
I finally woke up, when a ray of sunlight passes through me.
I looked around slowly.
I was sitting inside a moving vehicle, then it suddenly stopped.
Across from me sat Lyra and Raven, their hands tied just like mine.
The door opened with a heavy metallic sound.
Cold air rushed inside me.
We were forced out of the vehicle.
I slowly looked up.
In front of us stood massive iron gates, tall and dark. Behind us rose a huge building that looked more like an ancient castle than a school.
At the top of the gate were three words carved into black metal.
ECLIPSED ACADEMY
I felt chill run down my spine.
I had never heard of this place
But somehow....
It felt like the academy had been waiting for me.
