Ebhabe Fire Asha Jai – Part 13

Author: Parikshit Halder

The morning sunlight slowly entered through the small window of Arnob and Meghla's room. The golden light touched Meghla's face, and she slowly opened her eyes. For a few seconds she simply looked at the ceiling, thinking about everything that had happened in their lives. Life had not been easy, but somehow they had always found their way back to each other.

Arnob was sitting near the window with a cup of tea. He was watching the quiet village road outside. The early morning breeze was soft, and the sound of birds made the moment peaceful.

Meghla looked at him and smiled.

"Arnob," she called softly.

Arnob turned his head and smiled back. "Good morning, Meghla. Did you sleep well?"

Meghla slowly sat up. "Yes… but I was thinking about something."

Arnob came closer and sat beside her. "What are you thinking about so early in the morning?"

Meghla looked at him for a moment and said, "Do you remember the first day we met?"

Arnob laughed quietly. "Of course I remember. How can I forget? You were standing near the river with a red scarf. The wind was so strong that your scarf flew into the water."

Meghla smiled. "And you jumped into the river to bring it back."

"Yes," Arnob said, "and I almost slipped on the rocks."

Both of them started laughing.

Those small memories were the most beautiful part of their love story. Their relationship had gone through misunderstandings, distance, pain, and even separation. But fate always brought them back together.

After breakfast, Meghla went outside to water the small garden in front of their house. Arnob had planted those flowers for her after their marriage. There were roses, marigolds, and a small jasmine plant.

As Meghla was watering the flowers, Arnob came outside with two cups of tea.

"Here," he said, giving one cup to Meghla.

Meghla took the tea and said, "Thank you."

They sat on the small wooden bench near the garden. For a few minutes, neither of them spoke. Sometimes silence between two people in love feels more comfortable than words.

Suddenly Meghla said, "Arnob, do you think our life will always stay like this… peaceful and happy?"

Arnob looked at her carefully. "Why are you asking this?"

Meghla sighed softly. "Because life always changes. Sometimes I feel scared that something might take this happiness away."

Arnob gently held her hand.

"Meghla," he said slowly, "life will always have problems. But the most important thing is that we face them together. As long as we trust each other, nothing can break us."

Meghla looked into his eyes. Those eyes had always given her strength.

"You know something?" Arnob continued. "When you left me that day… I thought my life was finished."

Meghla lowered her eyes. That painful memory was still somewhere in her heart.

"I was young and foolish," she said quietly. "I didn't understand your love then."

Arnob shook his head gently. "No, Meghla. Maybe destiny wanted to test us. Sometimes people must lose each other to understand how important they are."

A small breeze passed through the garden. The jasmine flowers started moving gently.

Meghla smiled again. "Maybe that's why our story is called Ebhabe Fire Asha Jai… because sometimes people return in the most unexpected way."

Arnob laughed softly. "Yes. Love always finds its way back."

Just then, a small boy from the village came running toward their house.

"Dada! Dada!" the boy shouted.

Arnob stood up. "What happened, Raju?"

The boy was breathing fast. "Your mother is calling you. She said you must come quickly."

Arnob looked surprised. "Now?"

"Yes," Raju nodded.

Arnob turned to Meghla. "I'll go and see what happened."

Meghla nodded. "Okay. Come back soon."

Arnob quickly left with the boy.

Meghla stayed in the garden alone. She looked at the flowers and thought about their life again. Their love had survived many storms. But deep inside, she felt that another change was coming.

Meanwhile, Arnob reached his mother's house.

His mother was sitting on the chair with a serious expression.

"Ma, what happened?" Arnob asked.

His mother looked at him and said, "Arnob, I received a letter today."

"A letter?" Arnob asked.

"Yes."

"From whom?"

His mother slowly handed him the letter.

Arnob opened it and started reading.

As he read the words, his face slowly changed.

"Ma… how is this possible?" he whispered.

His mother said quietly, "That's what I'm also thinking."

Arnob looked shocked.

Because the letter was from someone they thought they would never hear from again.

Someone from their past.

Someone who once changed their entire life.

Arnob folded the letter slowly and looked outside the window. The sky was still bright, but suddenly everything felt different.

A new chapter of their story was about to begin.

And maybe… their love would be tested once again.

Far away, Meghla was still sitting in the garden, waiting for Arnob to come back… not knowing that the past had returned to their lives.

Their peaceful days were about to change again.

But sometimes, when life breaks people apart…

Love still finds a way to return.

Because some hearts are meant to find each other again and again.

And that is why… Ebhabe Fire Asha Jai.
