"I found you! I finally found you! I've been waiting too long for this moment!" Deergen shouted as he appeared behind Leona.
"W-What? Who are you?" Leona asked as she jumped back to take a defensive stance.
"Oh? That's so mean. It wasn't even been that long and you've already forgotten me have you?" Deergen said with feigned heartbreak.
"You? Wait a minute! You're that creep from before aren't you?"
"Oh? How mean, it's not been too long since we last saw each other hasn't it? Don't tell me you forgot my name already."
"I don't care what your name is. What do you want?"
"Isn't it obvious? I want payback for what you did to me."
"So you want a fight huh? I guess you didn't learn your lesson last time."
"I'm completely different from the man you fought before. My power level is far higher than what it was last time."
"Then it's a good thing I came here after all." Ren said as he approached them.
"Y-You! What are you doing here?" Deergen asked.
"Our plan was to use Celeste and Ria as bait. Violence would keep watch on Ria and I would do the same with Celeste. We didn't consider the possibility that you would go after Leona." Ren replied.
"So then why are you here?" Deergen asked.
"Because I anticipated that you would do the thing that I least expected you to do. If I knew that you were the culprit I would have known from the start that Leona was your target."
"That's crazy, Ren really thought so far ahead. He's a really incredible guy." Leona thought, meanwhile Celeste was wondering why he left her alone.
"Well, aren't you a smart guy. Too bad it won't help you win a fight against me." Deergen said. "That being said, if he beat my pet monster last time, then I definitely don't want to fight this guy 2 on 1." He thought.
Just as Ren made a move towards him, Deergen released another smoke bomb and tried to escape. However, Ren was fast enough to block his escape.
"You aren't going to be able to leave so easily this time." Ren said.
"How annoying, you pests keep getting in the way of my revenge. Well, I'm not the same as I used to be. You can deal with my pets instead." Deergen said as he released a strange colored smoke.
"What is this stuff?" Ren asked as he and Leona covered their faces.
"You remember the pet of mine that you fought last time don't you? Well I acquired plenty more to take its place, and every single one of them is several times stronger than the one you faced." Deergen said.
Suddenly, several massive monsters gathered around Ren and Leona.
"There so many of them." Ren stated. Deergen used this opportunity to make his escape.
"He's getting away!" Leona shouted.
"Just go after him. I can handle all these." Ren said.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, go ahead and go."
Leona went ahead and pursued Deergen, meanwhile, Ren had to take on the seemingly countless creatures that Deergen left behind.
"I know I told her I'd be ok, but this is a bit much for even me to deal with on my own." Ren said to himself.
"Then it's a good thing I showed up!" Violence said as he arrived.
"Violence, what are you doing here?"
"Me and Ria figured that he wasn't coming to us so I came here. Lucky I did, looks like a decent fight here."
Ren and Violence ended up fighting all of the monsters that Deergen had tamed. Each one had been given a pheromone that boosted their physical abilities and aggression. Meanwhile, Leona had caught up with Deergen himself.
"It's a dead end. There's no where left for you to run." Leona said as she caught her breath.
"Hahahaha!" Deergen laughed. "You're right, there's no where to run, but it's you that's cornered here."
He snapped his fingers and the path behind Leona collapsed. "I only ran away because I didn't want to fight you and your friends all together. I'm totally different than I was before. With the power of this Black Crystal, you are no match for me one on one." Deergen said.
