Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 — The White-Haired Twin

Night covered the floating kingdom of Germa 66 like a dark blanket.

Warships surrounded the massive snail-shaped castles that carried the kingdom across the sea. Spotlights cut through the fog while soldiers patrolled the metal walkways connecting the towers.

Inside the royal laboratory wing, silence dominated the long corridors.

Most scientists had already left for the night.

But in one small training chamber, two tiny figures were still awake.

The Twins

Reiji sat on the cold metal floor, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.

Under the dim ceiling lights, his white hair almost glowed faintly.

It had always been that color.

Pure white.

Unlike the other children of the Vinsmoke family.

Across from him, his sister stretched her arms after finishing another training session.

Pink hair tied loosely behind her head.

Sharp eyes.

Confident smile.

Vinsmoke Reiju.

She wiped sweat from her forehead and looked at him.

Her expression softened.

Reiju (smiling gently):

"You're thinking again."

Reiji didn't answer immediately.

He was staring at the ceiling.

His mind was far away.

Planning.

Calculating.

Preparing.

Reiju slowly walked over and sat beside him.

Their shoulders touched.

Reiju (playfully bumping him):

"You always do that. Thinking thinking thinking."

She leaned closer and squinted at his face dramatically.

Reiju (teasing):

"Are you secretly a genius scientist like father?"

Reiji immediately made a disgusted face.

He stuck out his tongue slightly.

Reiji (dramatically):

"Ew."

Reiju burst into laughter.

The sound echoed lightly through the empty room.

Reiji smiled too.

Despite everything… he genuinely loved these moments.

Because with Reiju, he didn't need to pretend completely.

She couldn't disobey Judge.

But she still had emotions.

She still cared.

And for some reason…

She trusted him more than anyone else.

Reiju leaned back on her hands and stared at his hair.

Her eyes narrowed curiously.

Reiju (tilting her head):

"You know… you're weird."

Reiji raised an eyebrow.

Reiji:

"Excuse me?"

She pointed at his head.

Reiju:

"That hair."

She grabbed a small lock of it and lifted it.

The white strands reflected the light.

Reiju (curious):

"Why is it white?"

Reiji shrugged.

Reiji (casually):

"Maybe I'm just cooler than everyone else."

Reiju rolled her eyes dramatically.

Reiju:

"Sure. That must be it."

But inside her mind she felt something different.

Through years of growing together…

she sensed something strange about her brother.

His presence.

His awareness.

His calmness.

Sometimes it felt like he was older than he looked.

But she never questioned it too deeply.

She simply trusted him.

And Reiji… trusted her too.

Even if he knew she could never truly betray their father.

The Battle Inside Sora

Far away in another part of the palace…

A woman sat alone in a quiet room.

Her hands rested on her stomach.

Her breathing was slow.

But her body trembled slightly.

Vinsmoke Sora.

Inside her body…

four new lives were growing.

Four future sons of Vinsmoke Judge.

But Sora had made a decision.

A dangerous one.

On the table beside her sat a small bottle of medicine.

A secret drug.

One designed to counteract the genetic experiments.

Her hand shook as she picked it up.

She knew the consequences.

Judge would never forgive this.

But she whispered softly to her unborn children.

Her voice barely louder than the wind outside.

Sora (whispering gently):

"I won't let you become weapons…"

Tears rolled slowly down her face.

Sora:

"You deserve to be human."

She drank the medicine.

Pain immediately shot through her stomach.

Her body trembled violently.

The drug fought against Judge's genetic modifications.

Inside her womb…

the experiments struggled to take hold.

It was a silent war.

One that would change the future of the Vinsmoke family.

The Mind of a Planner

Back in the training hall…

Reiji stood near the large window overlooking the sea.

The moon reflected off the dark waves.

Reiju had fallen asleep on a nearby bench.

Her breathing was calm.

Peaceful.

Reiji watched the ocean carefully.

His Observation Haki slowly expanded outward.

He felt the minds of soldiers.

Scientists.

Servants.

And far away…

Judge.

Cold.

Brilliant.

Dangerous.

Reiji's expression hardened slightly.

Reiji (thinking):

This place is a cage.

He had already spent two years studying everything.

The ship formations.

The patrol routes.

The training schedules.

Even the structure of the castle itself.

His mind had one goal.

Escape.

But not yet.

He needed time.

He needed strength.

And most importantly…

He needed one specific person to survive.

His mind replayed memories from the anime he once watched in another life.

A small blonde boy.

Kind.

Too kind for this brutal family.

Vinsmoke Sanji.

Reiji clenched his small fist.

Reiji (thinking):

You're the reason your mother is risking everything right now.

He looked back at his sleeping sister.

Reiju shifted slightly in her sleep.

Even unconscious… her face looked peaceful.

Reiji (thinking quietly):

And you…

You deserve freedom too.

He turned back toward the sea.

His white hair moved softly in the wind.

Reiji (thinking calmly):

Step one.

Grow stronger.

Step two.

Protect Sanji.

Step three.

Get us all out of this kingdom.

His lips slowly curled into a confident smile.

Reiji (whispering softly):

"Just wait, old man…"

He looked toward the distant laboratory tower where Judge worked late into the night.

Reiji:

"Your perfect soldiers are going to ruin all your plans."

The Future Approaches

Far below the castle…

The sea roared.

The wind howled.

And inside Sora's body…

four new children continued to grow.

One would become a monster of flames.

One would command lightning.

One would possess incredible strength.

And one…

would remain human.

The story of the Vinsmoke family was about to become far more complicated.

Because now there was someone else watching the future unfold.

A white-haired boy with the mind of another world.

And he had already decided one thing.

He would not allow history to repeat itself.
