Chapter 3 - The World Beyond the Shadows

Draven Noctyros was no longer the boy who played in the hills.

With each passing day, he became more aware of himself, his power, and the difference between himself and others.

His hair, as black as night, styled in dreadlocks that fell over his shoulders and back, swayed in the wind.

His deep, luminous violet eyes seemed to see more than any child could.

His dark chocolate skin glowed slightly in the sunlight, highlighting the agile and strong physique that was already beginning to take shape—the result of his special body, molded for constant evolution.

He carried a natural aura that seemed to tell others to keep their distance, and even without realizing it, subtle shadows enveloped him, reacting to his thoughts and emotions.

That morning, as he walked through the hills, Draven felt a different vibration in the air.

Something was approaching, and the Great Sage detected it immediately:

[Threat Level: High]

[Races Detected: Multiple — Unknown]

[Likelihood of Conflict: Extreme]

And then he saw it.

On the horizon, a group of warriors from distant lands emerged, marching in tight formation.

They were no ordinary humans.

Some possessed scales, claws, and horns; others had pale skin and rudimentary wings; some were tall and muscular, resembling legendary warriors from ancient tales.

They were armed and ready for combat, with serious expressions, and their gazes were fixed on Draven — or perhaps, on the aura emanating from him.

The Great Sage spoke in warning:

[Danger Level: Critical]

[Estimated Combined Strength: Greater than Average]

[Recommendation: Activate Conqueror's Haki and Dark Energy]

Draven took a deep breath.

He had never faced anything like this before, but he felt something familiar: the power of the Shadow Monarch pulsing within him, ready to react instinctively.

As the warriors approached, he realized how the world perceived his difference.

Even without any movement, Draven's aura began to grow, shadows rippling and expanding around him.

It was a silent warning, a presence that could not be ignored.

The leader of the charge, a warrior with greenish skin and long horns, took a few steps forward, fearless.

"Who are you, boy? And why do these shadows follow you as if obeying you?"

Draven did not answer with words.

He simply focused his will.

The Conqueror's Haki awakened stronger than ever.

The invisible weight crushed the enemy's resolve, forcing him to stop abruptly.

The shadows coiled around the warriors' feet, blocking them without harming them, merely as a warning. The Great Sage analyzed:

[Experience gained: partial manipulation of dark energy in combat]

[King's Haki level: 52%]

[Control over external threats: partial]

Draven realized something fundamental at that moment: the world was much larger and more dangerous than he had imagined.

The warrior races did not know their strength, but already instinctively feared it.

And as the warriors retreated, with respect and silent fear, the Great Sage concluded:

The awakening of the First Shadow Monarch has attracted attention.

Future conflicts: inevitable.

Draven looked at the horizon.

Something within him stirred, a silent and powerful curiosity.

He was not like the other children.

He was not like anyone.

And, at that instant, the first step of his ascension as Draven Noctyros—the First Shadow Monarch—was being traced before his eyes.
