Chapter 8 - The bunny girl

Jin rarely woke up this early.

For some reason, he had a strange feeling in his heart this morning, as if something terrible had been born somewhere he couldn't see.

Because of that uneasy feeling, he decided to go outside for a walk.

Looking up at the sky of Gotham City, he saw the same gloomy clouds as always. Even during the daytime, the city rarely saw sunlight.

He was already used to it.

Unfortunately, he hadn't managed to check in with the Scarecrow last time. Otherwise, he might have already obtained some interesting supernatural abilities.

"Hahaha! Can you catch up with me, little bat?"

Suddenly, Jin heard a playful voice filled with teasing.

Turning toward the sound, he saw a woman appear within his field of vision.

She was dressed in extremely revealing clothes, looking almost like a bunny girl.

At first, Jin didn't immediately recognize who she was. She just felt strangely familiar.

But bunny girl outfits were extremely common in Gotham's red-light district casinos, so it wasn't easy to identify her at first glance.

"Stop! White Rabbit!"

Another voice shouted from the same direction.

Only then did Jin realize that the woman dressed like a bunny girl was actually one of Gotham's villains.

White Rabbit.

At that moment, Jin also felt that the shout earlier sounded somewhat familiar to him.

But the voice had clearly been altered by a voice changer, making it difficult to identify.

In the next second, the owner of that voice appeared.

Batgirl.

The girl in the bat suit jumped into Jin's view.

Jin immediately realized that this was his college classmate, Barbara.

"Hehe, surprise!"

White Rabbit smiled charmingly.

Then she suddenly jumped toward an unlucky passerby and injected a homemade venom into him.

"Ahhh!"

The man's muscles instantly began to swell.

Green veins bulged violently across his body as his body grew into a giant more than two meters tall.

His eyes turned red, and it was clear that he had completely lost his mind.

He began smashing everything around him, swinging his massive fists wildly.

The surrounding pedestrians screamed and fled in panic.

Seeing this, Barbara had no choice but to give up chasing White Rabbit.

She turned around to deal with the rampaging man.

Several bat-shaped darts shot out instantly.

Meanwhile, White Rabbit simply smiled and prepared to escape.

But when she passed by Jin, who had been watching the scene like a spectator, she suddenly stopped.

"Huh?"

"What a handsome little guy."

White Rabbit blinked her large eyes and slowly circled around Jin.

The rabbit ears on her head occasionally brushed against his nose.

It made Jin's nose itch slightly.

He frowned and looked at her curiously.

Had this woman never seen a handsome man before?

Was it really necessary to stare like that?

Jin wasn't afraid of White Rabbit.

To put it bluntly, White Rabbit was simply fast.

In terms of hand-to-hand combat ability, she was far inferior to him.

White Rabbit's playful nature soon took over.

She deliberately leaned closer to Jin, teasing him with her figure and her rabbit ears.

Meanwhile, Jin was quietly waiting for a certain sound.

[Sign in to Gianna Hudson – White Rabbit]

[Reward: Super Charm]

[Super Charm: The opposite sex's favorability toward the host greatly increases.]

Jin felt slightly disappointed.

To him, this reward seemed rather useless.

After all, he already had a girlfriend.

Why would he care about such charm?

Well… the future was uncertain.

"Huh?"

"You suddenly look very handsome."

The longer White Rabbit looked at Jin, the more attractive he seemed.

Her eyes even started to become slightly dazed.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Barbara had already knocked the rampaging passerby to the ground after several attacks.

When she turned around, she saw White Rabbit leaning against Jin.

And then—

White Rabbit kissed Jin on the cheek.

Leaving a bright red lipstick mark.

"White Rabbit!!"

Barbara immediately rushed toward them like an angry cat.

However, Jin moved faster than her.

In an instant, Jin pulled out a black pistol from nowhere and aimed it directly at White Rabbit's head.

Cold and decisive.

"This lady," Jin said calmly.

"Please stay away from me."

"I don't know you."

Feeling the cold muzzle of the gun, White Rabbit instantly realized that it was a real weapon.

But she didn't look afraid at all.

Instead, she smiled and gently lifted her finger, brushing Jin's chin.

"What a heartless little man."

"I'll remember you."

The moment she finished speaking, White Rabbit suddenly turned into a cloud of white smoke and disappeared.

Barbara stomped her foot in frustration.

"That annoying White Rabbit!"

"Next time I'll definitely catch you!"

Then she quickly ran toward Jin.

"Sir, are you alright?"

While asking, Barbara circled around him, carefully inspecting every part of his body.

Then she noticed the bright lipstick mark on Jin's face.

Barbara's expression immediately darkened.

She quickly pulled a handkerchief from her utility belt and wiped Jin's cheek.

I haven't even kissed him yet… how could someone else get there first?!

Then Barbara suddenly realized something.

Right now she was Batgirl.

Not Barbara.

And Batgirl was meeting Jin for the first time.

Being this intimate during their first meeting would definitely make people suspicious.

"Ahem..."

"If you're fine..."

Barbara awkwardly pulled back her handkerchief.

Then she suddenly thought of something.

Since she was already a well-known figure, maybe she could use this opportunity to take the initiative in her love life.

"This gentleman," she said seriously.

"I see that your face is filled with peach blossom fortune."

"You will definitely meet your destined girl very soon."

"You must cherish her."

"Especially women around your age."

"They are very likely to wear glasses."

"The most important thing is that she might be your classmate."

"And…"

"She may also have a father who is a police officer."

"You should pay special attention."

Barbara was repeating fortune-telling phrases she had read online.

She had heard that people from Chong Guo believed in these things.

And Jin happened to be Chinese.

So she tried to secretly insert her own hints into the prophecy.

If it worked, then the prince could marry the princess.

But anyone listening carefully could clearly tell.

She was obviously describing herself.

However, in the very next second—

Jin calmly pulled out his phone.

And played back the recording of everything Barbara had just said.

Then Jin smiled.

"Nice performance, Barbara"
