A loud knock sounded on the door suddenly and Luke's eyes flew to the door in surprise. He looked back to Silas and waited for him to do something as both of them said nothing.
Since no one in Black Fang knew he was there except Silas, being discovered might mean danger to the both of them.
"Shh!" Silas signalled for him to stay quiet as he went over to the door.
Luke sneaked into the bedroom with his heart hammering loudly against his chest. Being caught means only one thing—death.
He hid inside the room for several minutes as Silas talked with the person until the door shut again before he went out of the room to see that they were both gone.
"This is tiring, I must go back". Luke said to himself and went to peep out of the window to see if there was anything useful to him, but an empty dark green forest stared back at him.
The lock on the door rattled in the next minute and the door opened to reveal Silas.
