Synopsis
Some love stories are meant to last forever. And some are only meant to teach us how deeply we can love before we have to let go. Aarav was the kind of person who believed life was simpler when you kept your distance from people. Quiet, thoughtful, and lost in his own world, he had never expected anyone to truly change his life. Until the day he accidentally met Meera. Meera was different from anyone Aarav had ever known. She believed in small moments, unexpected happiness, and the magic hidden in ordinary days. Her laughter brought warmth into Aarav’s quiet life, and slowly, the walls around his heart began to disappear. What started as a simple friendship soon grew into something deeper—something neither of them had planned but both of them felt. Together, they shared countless memories: late conversations, quiet walks across the campus, dreams about the future, and moments that felt too beautiful to ever end. But life doesn’t always follow the plans of the heart. As time passes, Aarav and Meera begin to realize that love alone is not always enough. Circumstances, choices, and the unpredictable nature of life slowly begin to pull them apart. And the love that once brought them together becomes the very thing that breaks them. Years later, when memories become all that remains, Aarav will come to understand one painful truth— Some people enter your life not to stay forever, but to leave behind a love that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. A love story that began with hope… But was destined to remain unfinished forever.

Chapter 1 - The Day We First Met

They pass like the wind—unnoticed, forgotten, meaningless.

But sometimes, without warning, a single moment quietly changes the entire direction of your life.

You don't realize it at first.

You only understand it later… when the person who once stood in front of you becomes the memory you can never forget.

For Aarav, that moment arrived on a quiet July morning.

The sky was cloudy that day, the kind of sky that looked like it was holding back rain. The air felt calm, almost thoughtful, as if the world itself was waiting for something to happen.

It was the first day of the new semester at Riverview College.

Students filled the campus with noise and excitement. Groups of friends laughed loudly, some rushed toward classrooms, and others simply wandered around enjoying the freedom of a new beginning.

But Aarav walked through the campus alone.

He always did.

He had never been the type to chase crowds or conversations. Aarav preferred silence. He found comfort in quiet corners, music in his headphones, and the pages of books that spoke more honestly than most people did.

Life had taught him early that expectations often led to disappointment.

So he stopped expecting much from people.

That morning, Aarav sat on a wooden bench near the old library building, scrolling through the songs on his phone. The wind moved gently through the tall trees above him, causing a few leaves to fall slowly to the ground.

Everything felt peaceful.

Predictable.

Normal.

And maybe that was why fate decided to interrupt it.

A few minutes later, Aarav stood up and began walking toward the main corridor. The hallway was crowded with students moving in different directions.

Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice someone rushing from the opposite side.

And then—

Thud.

A soft collision.

Books scattered across the floor.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" a gentle voice said quickly.

Aarav blinked, slightly startled.

In front of him, a girl had already knelt down, hurriedly gathering her books. A few strands of her long dark hair fell across her face as she tried to pick everything up.

"I wasn't looking where I was going," she said nervously.

Aarav quietly bent down to help her.

"It's okay," he said calmly.

Their hands accidentally reached for the same book at the same time.

For a brief second, their fingers touched.

She looked up.

And that was the moment Aarav noticed her eyes.

They were warm and bright, carrying a strange mixture of curiosity and kindness.

For reasons he couldn't explain, Aarav felt the world slow down just a little.

"Thank you," she said, taking the book from his hand.

Her voice was soft, but there was something genuine in it.

"I'm Meera."

Aarav hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Aarav."

A small smile appeared on her face.

It wasn't a big smile. Not dramatic or attention-seeking.

Just a simple one.

But somehow, it stayed in his mind longer than it should have.

"Well, Aarav," she said lightly, adjusting the books in her arms, "I guess this is a memorable way to start the semester."

Aarav gave a faint smile.

"Yeah… I guess it is."

For a moment, they stood there awkwardly as students continued walking past them.

Then Meera glanced toward the staircase.

"I should probably go before I get lost again," she laughed softly.

She began walking away, but after a few steps, she turned back.

"See you around, Aarav."

And just like that, she disappeared into the crowd.

The hallway returned to its normal noise and movement.

But Aarav remained standing there.

For reasons he didn't understand, his mind kept replaying that brief moment.

Her voice.

Her smile.

Her eyes.

At the time, it felt like nothing more than a random meeting between two strangers.

A simple accident in a crowded corridor.

But life has a strange way of hiding its most important moments inside ordinary days.

Because neither Aarav nor Meera knew it yet…

That small collision in the hallway was not an accident.

It was the beginning of a story.

A story filled with laughter, dreams, mistakes, and memories that would refuse to fade.

A story about two hearts that found each other at the wrong time.

And someday…

It would become the story of a love that was never meant to finish.
