Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 The King of Weapons.

"The sword is the king of all weapons. It ranks third among the eighteen weapons because of its lightness, flexibility, varied moves, and extremely fast attack speed. To practice swordsmanship, one must master both swordsmanship and body movement."

Inside the training room, Wu Luo sat upright, listening attentively to Lin Bai's instruction.

Lin Bai has always adopted a hands-off approach to Wu Luo. Unless Wu Luo causes too much trouble, Lin Bai will not interfere. Therefore, Wu Luo usually acts as if he wants to do whatever he wants.

However, since Wu Luo awakened his martial soul and displayed his talent the day before yesterday, Lin Bai realized that Wu Luo's talent would not allow him to continue to stagnate.

A wooden sword appeared in Lin Bai's hand, and he spoke while wielding the sword.

"Thrust, parry, chop, and sweep are the foundation of swordsmanship. As the saying goes, all variations are based on these four principles. All sword techniques are derived from these four points. Only through daily practice can one achieve success. Therefore, your next task is to practice swinging the sword."

Lin Bai stopped and tossed the wooden sword in his hand to Wu Luo, who quickly caught it, hugged it to his arms, and asked:

"Master, didn't you say there was also a movement technique? Aren't you going to tell me about that?"

Lin Bai shook his head and said, "Your swordsmanship foundation is almost zero. You can't digest too much if I teach you too much, so your main task now is to swing your sword, keep swinging your sword until you are exhausted. As for movement techniques, I will teach you when you break the wooden sword in your hand or shatter the stone with the wooden sword. Go practice your sword, my good disciple. The next swordsmanship master may be you!"

"This afternoon, I will have your Uncle Chihe teach you how to cultivate soul power and spiritual power. Once your condition is completely stable, I will take you to the Spirit Pagoda to select soul power."

After saying that, Lin Bai vigorously rubbed Wu Luo's head and left, leaving Wu Luo holding the wooden sword behind.

"Huh? Is it that tight? I remember I was only six years old, right? Oh well, he's my master, so let's practice first."

Wu Luo first tidied his hair, which Lin Bai had ruffled into a mess, and then began to swing the wooden sword in his hand. However, not long after, Wu Luo began to complain, "I'm really fed up. Couldn't this old man have made the grip a little smaller?"

It turned out that the sword Lin Bai gave to Wu Luo was the one he usually used and was very comfortable with. But it was different in Wu Luo's hands. Wu Luo was only six years old, and he couldn't hold the sword with one hand at all. He could only barely hold it with both hands.

In the shadows, Lin Bai watched Wu Luo, who was complaining but wielding a wooden sword with both hands, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

"Palace Master, isn't it a bit too early to start training the young master now?"

Qingyuan, who was standing next to her, asked why Lin Bai had suddenly started rigorous training Wu Luo.

Lin Bai shifted his gaze from Wu Luo and said to Qing Yuan, "I see my former self in Xiao Luo. His talent is even greater than mine. Perhaps he can really take that step that I failed to reach."

"How is that possible? Even if the young master has innate full soul power, it's impossible for him to have more than you, right?"

Not only Qingyuan's Chihe, but also Chihe looked at Lin Bai in disbelief. From the moment she started following Lin Bai, all she could think of about this man was "peerless." Even the talent of the number one person on the continent, Qingtian Douluo, was not necessarily comparable to his. TV drama

"You don't need to be surprised, this is the truth. Douluo Continent is full of geniuses, and it's only a matter of time before they surpass me and even Yun Ming."

Lin Bai turned around, looked at the blue sky, and then at Wu Luo, and said softly, "Since heaven has given you this extraordinary talent, it means that you will face challenges throughout your life. And Xiao Luo, are you really ready to accept this bumpy road?"

"Ouch, Uncle Chihe, be gentle, it hurts so much!"

Wu Luo lay on the bed, groaning in pain. After six years of slacking off, although the awakening of his martial soul had greatly improved his physical fitness, this first time engaging in such high-intensity exercise was torture for him.

"Uncle Chihe, what's wrong with Master? He used to not care about anything, but now he's scolding me like a dog the moment he arrives."

Chihe was applying ointment to Wu Luo's arm and said with a smile, "Little Luo, you can't talk about adults like that. This isn't your fault. If you took a little time to exercise every day, you wouldn't be in such a sorry state."

"Of course I know it's not Master's fault, I was just complaining."

"Alright, Xiao Luo, the master has instructed that he will teach you how to cultivate your martial spirit and increase your soul power later."

After placing the remaining plaster on Wu Luo's bedside, Chi He helped him sit up and then sat cross-legged beside him.

"The cultivation of martial spirits emphasizes stillness and focus. Martial spirits are not external things; they are a part of us. We must use our hearts to feel the existence of the martial spirit, close our eyes, and treat it as our third eye to perceive the outside world."

Wu Luo closed his eyes and then focused on sensing his martial spirit. After a while, he opened his eyes and looked at Chi He with a blank expression.

"Uncle, it's no use, I can't feel anything at all."

"That's because you haven't grasped the process of stillness yet. The biggest taboo in martial spirit cultivation is being impatient for quick results. You just wanted to stabilize your martial spirit quickly, so you treated it as a tool instead of as part of yourself, which is why it won't respond to you."

"Then what should I do?"

"Take a deep breath of fresh air, then exhale the stale air from your mouth. Put aside all distracting thoughts for the time being and remain still. You must remain still."

Wu Luo took a deep breath, his eyes hardening with determination. He then closed his eyes and silently chanted, "Martial spirit, body, unite!"

A few minutes later, Wu Luo heard the sound of a sword ringing in his ears. His heart trembled, and he opened his eyes. The Bagua Sword, shining with silver light, was floating in front of Wu Luo, rotating around him. Compared to before, its color had become even more vivid and dazzling.

"It's done!"

Wu Luo stood up, feeling full of energy. His hands, which had been in severe pain from training during the day, had also recovered considerably.

Wu Luo took the Bagua sword in front of him and tried to swing it like Lin Bai did during the day. However, the buyer's show and the seller's show are ultimately different. The way Wu Luo wielded the Bagua sword looked like a madman dancing a strange dance.

"Xiao Luo, stop it! It's too ugly. I can hardly bear to look at it anymore. If you keep doing this, the adults won't let you go out and embarrass yourself."

Chihe quickly pulled Wu Luo, who was performing a strange dance, and said that although he was happy that Wu Luo had successfully mastered the martial soul, he really couldn't compliment the dance moves.

Wu Luo, who had been pulled back, stopped after hearing Chi He's words. He then touched his nose, trying to hide his embarrassment, but he still felt pretty good about himself. "Actually, it's alright. I think I'm about the same as Master, right?" Of course, that was only what he thought.

"Alright, next I'll teach you how to meditate to restore your soul power."

Wu Luo's talent exceeded Chi He's expectations; he had thought Wu Luo would need at least a day to develop this skill.

"It seems the Palace Master was right after all. Little Luo might actually surpass him in the future!"
