Six months later.
The morning sun spread across the glass walls of the new terminal.
From the observation deck, Elena could see trucks moving in neat lines through the loading yards below. Freight containers rolled across transfer platforms. Workers in bright safety vests walked between sections while supervisors checked schedules on handheld devices.
The place was alive.
For a long moment, Elena simply stood there.
The breeze touched her face through the open section of the deck.
Everything looked different now.
Not because the terminal was new.
Not because the company had grown.
Because the weight she had carried for so many years was finally gone.
The fight was over.
The lies were over.
The secrets were over.
Below her, one of the freight trains slowly pulled away from the platform.
Its engine gave a low horn blast before disappearing onto the tracks stretching toward the horizon.
Elena smiled.
