Chapter 79 - Sacerdos Montium (The Priest of the Mountains)

[Latin Script]

In altissimis montibus ubi nubes habitant,

Senex quidam sedet in solitudine sancta.

Ille est custos secretorum quae terra celat,

Sapiens qui loquitur cum lapidibus et stellis.

Pellis eius est sicut cortex arboris vetustae,

Et oculi sui vident trans saecula fugacia.

Hic est locus ubi magica terrae oritur,

Ubi metalla in visceribus montis canunt.

Elara venit quaerens clavem ad victoriam,

Per semitas ubi nix nunquam liquescit.

Sacerdos ridet sine sono et sine dente,

Sentiens ignem phenicis in puella parva.

"Non est potestas in ferro tantum," dicit,

"Sed in nexu inter spiritum et mundum."

Ibi in antro tenebroso, ignis caeruleus ardet,

Illuminans signa quae Rashid olim scripsit.

Mons ipse vivit et spiritum ducit,

Erat hic antequam homines thronos facerent.

Titanum origo non est in machina sola,

Sed in superbia cordis quae naturam violat.

Sacerdos dat ei fragmentum lapidis vivi,

Qui micat in rhythmo cordis universi.

"Hoc erit vinculum tuum ad pacem veram,"

"Si potes regere regnum sine tyrannide."

Ventus ululat inter columnas lapideas,

Portans nuntium de bello quod appropinquat.

Sacerdos evanescit in nebula frigida,

Relinquens elaram solam cum onere fati.

Montes Chattogram servant silentium suum,

Sed terra sub pedibus eius iam tremit.

Eritne illa salus an exitium mundi?

Cum ignis phenicis montis vocem audit.

[English Translation]

In the highest mountains where clouds dwell,

A certain old man sits in holy solitude.

He is the guardian of secrets that the earth hides,

A wise man who speaks with stones and stars.

His skin is like the bark of an ancient tree,

And his eyes see across fleeing centuries.

This is the place where the magic of the earth originates,

Where metals in the bowels of the mountain sing.

Elara comes seeking the key to victory,

Through paths where snow never melts.

The priest smiles without sound and without teeth,

Sensing the phoenix fire in the little girl.

"Power is not in iron alone," he says,

"But in the connection between spirit and world."

There in the dark cave, a blue fire burns,

Illuminating the signs that Rashid once wrote.

The mountain itself lives and breathes,

It was here before men made thrones.

The Titans' origin is not in the machine alone,

But in the pride of the heart that violates nature.

The priest gives her a fragment of living stone,

Which glows in the rhythm of the universe's heart.

"This will be your link to true peace,"

"If you can rule a kingdom without tyranny."

The wind howls between stone columns,

Carrying a message of the war that approaches.

The priest vanishes in the cold mist,

Leaving Elara alone with the burden of fate.

The mountains of Chattogram keep their silence,

But the earth beneath her feet already trembles.

Will she be the salvation or the destruction of the world?

When the phoenix fire hears the mountain's voice.
