Chapter 6 - A Random Click

Life doesn't always change in dramatic moments.

Sometimes the most important turning points begin with something small. Something simple. Something that almost feels meaningless at the time.

For me, it started with a random click.

One evening I was lying on my bed in my dorm room, my phone resting in my hands while I mindlessly scrolled through the internet. The day had been long and tiring, filled with lectures, assignments, and the constant pressure of trying to keep up with everything university demanded.

My roommate was busy doing her own thing on the other side of the room. The quiet hum of campus life drifted faintly through the window.

I wasn't looking for anything important.

Sometimes scrolling is just a way to escape your own thoughts for a while.

That was when I saw something unfamiliar.

Discord.

At the time, I didn't even know what it was.

The name appeared on my screen like any other app, but when I opened it, the entire interface looked confusing. There were channels, usernames, icons, messages moving quickly across the screen.

It felt chaotic.

Normally, something that confusing would have made me close the app immediately.

But I have always had a strange habit.

When something confuses me, I want to understand it.

I clicked around the platform, exploring the different sections and slowly figuring out how everything worked. It took a little while, but eventually things started to make sense.

Then I noticed something that caught my attention.

A server.

The name was simple.

Jesus Server.

For a moment I hesitated.

Joining an online group of strangers to talk about faith was not something I had ever imagined doing. It felt random, almost strange.

But curiosity has always been one of my strongest traits.

Before I could overthink it too much, I clicked join.

The screen filled with conversations.

People from different places were discussing scripture, asking questions about faith, sharing their thoughts about God and life.

At first, I didn't say anything.

I simply watched.

Observing.

Reading.

Trying to understand the rhythm of the community.

Some people were asking questions about the Bible. Others were discussing personal struggles and encouraging each other through scripture.

There was something about the atmosphere that felt… different.

It wasn't perfect. It wasn't overly formal.

But it felt genuine.

For the first time in a while, I saw people openly talking about their relationship with God in a way that felt honest and real.

As I scrolled through the messages, I noticed that the server often hosted events.

Bible studies.

Discussions.

Something called discipleship meetings.

One particular event caught my attention.

A discipleship session where they were studying the book of Galatians.

I didn't know much about what to expect, but something inside me felt drawn to it.

Looking back now, that moment feels almost surreal.

At the time it felt like nothing more than curiosity.

Just another random thing on the internet.

But sometimes God begins working in our lives long before we realize it.

What looked like a simple decision to join a Discord server was actually the first step toward something much bigger.

Something that would challenge my thinking.

Something that would change my heart.

Something that would eventually bring me closer to the peace I had been searching for all along.

And somewhere inside that server was a person who would play an important role in that journey.

A leader.

A brother in Christ.

Someone named Krow.

At that moment, I had no idea that the conversations I was about to hear would begin reshaping the way I understood faith, forgiveness, and even myself.

But the journey had already started.

All because of a random click.
