Caelus stared at the construct for a moment before finally speaking.
"Start from the beginning. Just what the hell is happening to you?"
As soon as he asked the question, the construct's layered parts began folding inward until only an orb of pale light remained.
The orb floated toward him and began circling his head.
"You mean the Enforcers?"
Caelus nodded, waiting for it to continue.
"They've been corrupted by those eldritch beings."
"Eldritch beings?" Caelus repeated, his brows furrowing slightly.
"The creatures you fought during the invasion. They're the spawn of the Oldest One."
Hearing this, Caelus's expression immediately changed.
"You mean the third?"
The orb bobbed once, confirming his suspicion.
For a moment, Caelus remained silent as he processed what he had just heard.
