Chapter 1 - The Lost Princess and the loyal king

The Lost Princess and the Loyal King

Chapter 1: Two Childhood Friends

Long ago, in the beautiful kingdom of Elaria, there lived a young prince named Adrian. He was kind, brave, and loved by everyone in the kingdom. But the person he loved spending time with the most was a little girl named Liana.

Liana was the daughter of the royal advisor. She was cheerful, curious, and always full of laughter. From the time they were five years old, Adrian and Liana were inseparable.

They played in the royal gardens every day. They climbed trees, chased butterflies, and built little castles with sand near the palace fountain.

One day, Adrian said while sitting under a big oak tree,

"Liana, when I become king, I will build the most beautiful garden in the world."

Liana smiled and replied,

"And I will live there and take care of all the flowers."

Adrian laughed.

"Then you must promise you will never leave."

Liana held out her little finger.

"I promise."

They made a pinky promise, believing they would always stay together.

But fate had different plans.

Chapter 2:The day they were separated

One summer afternoon, a grand festival was happening in the kingdom. The palace was crowded with people from nearby villages.

Adrian and Liana were playing hide and seek in the busy marketplace.

Adrian closed his eyes and began counting.

"1… 2… 3… 4…"

Liana ran through the crowd, laughing as she searched for the perfect hiding place.

But suddenly, a group of travelers with wagons passed through the road. In the confusion, Liana was pushed away from the crowd. She tried to return, but the people around her kept moving.

"Adrian!" she called.

But her voice was lost in the noise of the festival.

Soon she found herself far from the palace. A kind old woman from a distant village found her crying on the road.

"Where is your family, child?" the woman asked gently.

Liana tried to answer, but she was frightened and confused. She could not explain clearly.

The woman took her to her small village far away from Elaria.

Meanwhile, Adrian searched everywhere.

"Liana!" he shouted again and again.

The guards searched the whole kingdom, but the little girl had vanished.

That night, Adrian sat alone in the garden under the oak tree where they used to play.

He whispered sadly,

"I promise I will find you one day."

Chapter 3:years passed

Years went by.

Prince Adrian grew into a strong and handsome young man. Eventually, he became King Adrian of Elaria.

But even after all those years, he never forgot Liana.

Many princesses from other kingdoms came to meet him, hoping to marry the king. But Adrian always refused politely.

His heart was still searching for the little girl who once promised to stay forever.

Meanwhile, in a small village called Rivermill, a young woman named Liana lived a simple life.

She helped villagers, worked in the fields, and took care of the old woman who had raised her.

But something strange always lived in her heart.

Sometimes she would look at the sky and feel like she had forgotten something important.

Something… or someone.

But she could not remember.

Chapter 4: The King's Journey

One day, King Adrian decided he could not wait anymore.

He told his advisor,

"I will travel across the kingdom myself. I must find her."

So the king left the palace disguised as a traveler.

He visited many towns and villages, asking people about a girl named Liana.

Days turned into weeks.

Weeks turned into months.

Finally, one evening he arrived at the small village of Rivermill.

There, near the river, he saw a young woman helping children gather flowers.

Her laughter sounded familiar.

Adrian's heart suddenly started beating faster.

"Liana…?" he whispered.

Chapter 5: A Stranger

Adrian walked closer.

"Excuse me," he said gently.

The girl turned around.

Her eyes were the same.

Her smile was the same.

It was her.

But she looked confused.

"Yes?" she asked politely.

Adrian felt his heart sink.

"Do you… remember me?" he asked.

Liana shook her head.

"I'm sorry, I don't think we've met."

The king felt both happiness and sadness.

He had finally found her.

But she had forgotten him.

Chapter 6: The King's Effort

Adrian decided not to tell her the truth immediately.

Instead, he stayed in the village for a while.

Every day he found small reasons to meet her.

He helped villagers repair houses.

He brought books for the children.

And slowly, he became Liana's friend.

One evening they sat near the river watching the sunset.

Adrian asked softly,

"Do you ever feel like you forgot something important from your childhood?"

Liana looked at the water quietly.

"Yes," she said.

"Sometimes I feel like there was someone very important to me… but I cannot remember who."

Adrian smiled sadly.

"I think… that person still remembers you."

Chapter 7: Memories Return

Days passed.

Adrian often told her stories about the royal gardens, the big oak tree, and two children who made a promise.

One night during a village festival, Liana heard a familiar melody played on a flute.

Suddenly, flashes of memories appeared in her mind.

The palace garden.

The oak tree.

A boy laughing.

A promise.

She turned to Adrian with tears in her eyes.

"Adrian…?"

The king froze.

"You remember?" he asked softly.

Liana nodded slowly.

"You were my best friend… the prince…"

"And you promised to stay," Adrian said.

She smiled through tears.

"I never meant to break my promise."

Chapter 8: The Truth

Adrian finally told her everything.

How he searched for years.

How he refused every princess.

How he traveled across the kingdom just to find her.

Liana was speechless.

"You are the king… and you came all this way… for me?" she asked.

Adrian looked into her eyes.

"I didn't come for a queen."

"I came for my best friend."

Chapter 9: Love

As days passed, their friendship slowly turned into something deeper.

One night under the stars, Adrian said,

"Liana, I loved you when we were children… and I think I never stopped."

Liana smiled.

"Maybe that is why my heart always felt incomplete."

Adrian gently held her hand.

"Will you come back to the kingdom with me?"

"Not as my friend… but as my queen?"

Chapter 10: The Empress

Liana looked at the sky.

She remembered their childhood promise.

Then she looked at Adrian.

"Yes," she said softly.

Months later, the kingdom celebrated the grand coronation of Empress Liana.

The gardens were filled with flowers, just like Adrian once promised.

And under the old oak tree, the king whispered to the empress,

"Some promises may take years… but they always find their way back."

Liana smiled.

"And some friendships… become the greatest love stories."

And they lived happily ever after.
