Nokera Sharptooth

Nokera Sharptooth is a creature of saltwater and malice, a masterpiece of scars and sapphire fire.

She is a twenty-four-year-old Tabaxi who has traded the soft life of a land-dweller for the jagged edges of a Pirate Captain and Bard.

They call her "One-Eye" or the "Blue Blight," but her true title is Captain of the Obsidian Wake. Her fur is the color of a midnight that swallows all hope, save for that right eye, which glows with an eerie sapphire light—a "gift" she claimed by gouging it from a sea-witch who made the mistake of trying to drown her.

When she stands in a doorway, it isn't her stature that chills the blood; it's the lethality she wears like a second skin.

She leans with a deceptive slouch, her glowing eye cutting through the dark like a predatory star.

If you watch her tail, you'll see the very tip twitching in a rapid, rhythmic beat when she's cornered or dishonest—the steady ticking of a bomb waiting for a reason to detonate.

Her voice is a cello played with barbed wire—resonant, deep, and rasping with a dangerous edge.

In combat, she is a predator who finds the dance of death hilarious.

She plays with her food, taunting enemies with a "maliciously playful" humor until they stumble.

Her signature end is a whisper—a "Vicious Mockery" that shatters the soul just as the blade finds the heart—after which she plucks a coin from the corpse as a "service fee". Yet, even this monster has a line; she refuses to harm the poor or use children as shields, for there is no sport in crushing those who have nothing.

Her history is a ledger of mutiny and ghosts.

The silvered scar spanning from her brow to her jaw is the receipt for her soul, earned when she reclaimed her ship.

But even a queen of the sea is haunted; she still dreams of the first mate she cast overboard, a man who didn't scream but simply sank while watching her with a silence that weighed more than the ocean itself.

She is a professional heart-breaker with static crackling in her tail, sharpening her claws on the furniture of those she despises and clicking her fangs as she plots her next conquest.

Truly, a creature after our own dark hearts.
