Chapter 6 - The Pirate’s Secret Map

One afternoon, three friends named Karan, Meera, and Arif were playing near the old lighthouse by the sea. The lighthouse had been abandoned for many years, and people rarely visited it.

While exploring the rocky beach, Meera noticed something half-buried in the sand. It was a rusty metal box. Curious, the friends opened it carefully. Inside they found a rolled piece of paper that looked very old.

When Karan opened it, they saw a map with strange drawings. There were pictures of palm trees, a skull symbol, and a big red X.

"This must be a pirate map!" Arif said excitedly.

The map showed an island not far from the shore. The friends decided to follow the map the next day. They borrowed a small boat from Karan's uncle and packed food, water, and a flashlight.

Early in the morning, they set out across the sea. The waves gently pushed the boat forward. After following the directions on the map, they finally saw a small island covered with trees.

The island looked mysterious and quiet.

Following the map, they walked through the jungle until they found a huge palm tree marked with a carved skull. According to the map, the treasure was hidden nearby.

They began digging in the sand under the tree. After a few minutes, Arif's shovel hit something hard.

"It's a chest!" he shouted.

The friends pulled the wooden chest out of the ground. With great excitement, they opened it. Inside they found shiny coins, old jewelry, and a golden compass.

But there was also a letter. It was written by an old pirate captain who had hidden the treasure long ago.

The captain wrote that the treasure should belong to brave explorers who discover it honestly.

The friends decided to tell the local museum about their discovery. The treasure became an important historical exhibit, and the three friends were celebrated as young explorers.

Even though they didn't keep the treasure, the adventure itself became their greatest reward.
