Chapter 68 - The Documentary Premiere

Six months later, the documentary premiered.

Not in Dumaguete—in Manila, at a fancy theater with red carpets and flashing cameras.

Glad walked the carpet in a gown designed for wings, Ariel handsome beside her, the whole crew in attendance.

"How do you feel?" a reporter shouted.

"Terrified! But also excited!"

"How does it feel to be the first supernatural creature with a Netflix documentary?"

"Ask me again in a century. I'll have perspective by then."

The documentary itself was beautiful.

It traced her journey from hiding to viral fame, from isolation to community. It showed the struggles, the triumphs, the everyday moments. It featured interviews with everyone who'd helped her along the way.

And it ended with a dedication:

"For Anino—cat, father, guardian. Always watching, always protecting."

The theater fell silent.

Then applause—thunderous, overwhelming, lasting minutes.

Glad cried.

Ariel held her.

And somewhere, a warm breeze circled the theater.

The next day, the documentary was trending in 47 countries.

The day after, Glad's follower count doubled.

And a week later, the first international delegation arrived, seeking to replicate Dumaguete's success.

The world was changing.

And she was leading the way.
