Chapter 22

December 16, 2006.

The morning sun rose slowly over the Mediterranean coast, casting golden light across the city of Genovia. From the palace balcony Ryan could see thousands of people already gathering in the streets below. Flags carrying the royal crest fluttered in the cool ocean wind while music echoed through the city.

Today was not just another royal ceremony.

Today Genovia would welcome its new queen.

Inside the palace everything was filled with movement. Royal attendants walked through the halls preparing the final arrangements. Security teams communicated through radios while diplomats and international guests began arriving at the palace gates.

Ryan stood quietly in front of a large window overlooking the palace gardens.

For once his mind was calm.

All the business meetings, corporate negotiations, and financial empires he had built suddenly felt distant compared to the importance of this moment.

Behind him the door opened.

Rachel walked in first.

She was wearing an elegant silver dress that reflected the morning light. Her expression carried the same confident smile Ryan had known since their school days.

"Well," she said playfully, "the whole world is waiting for you."

Ryan turned and smiled.

"Are you nervous?"

Rachel shook her head.

"No."

Then she paused.

"Okay maybe a little."

A moment later another door opened and Mia entered the room.

Ryan felt his breath stop for a second.

The shy girl he had once met years ago had completely transformed. Her royal gown was elegant yet simple, designed to highlight the quiet strength she had developed during years of training.

Queen Clarisse stood behind her with a proud expression.

"You look ready," Clarisse said to Ryan.

Ryan nodded slowly.

"I think so."

Clarisse smiled slightly.

"Good."

Because outside the palace the ceremony had already begun.

The royal cathedral stood at the center of Genovia's capital city. The ancient building had hosted royal ceremonies for centuries, but never one watched by so many people around the world.

Inside the cathedral the atmosphere was magnificent.

European royalty sat beside global business leaders.

Presidents and prime ministers filled the front rows.

Technology pioneers from Silicon Valley quietly discussed the incredible journey of the young billionaire who now stood at the center of the ceremony.

Ryan noticed familiar faces everywhere.

Steve Jobs sat quietly beside several Apple executives.

Representatives from Nvidia and Google were present.

Several leaders of European royal families had also arrived.

Near the middle rows Ryan spotted Raj and Chandler whispering excitedly.

Behind them Ross was explaining historical details of royal weddings to anyone who would listen while Joey kept asking about the wedding dinner.

Rachel's friends laughed quietly nearby.

A little further away Leonard and Sheldon were analyzing the cathedral architecture like scientists studying a new discovery.

Even in such an enormous ceremony, Ryan couldn't help smiling when he saw them.

These were the same friends who had once teased him in school.

Now they were guests at a royal wedding.

The ceremony began with music echoing through the cathedral.

Everyone stood as Mia entered.

The entire room fell silent.

She walked slowly down the aisle with confidence that would have been impossible years earlier.

Ryan watched her approach.

For a moment the entire world seemed to disappear.

There were no reporters.

No politicians.

No corporate empires.

Only Mia.

When she finally stood beside him, their eyes met.

Ryan gently held her hand.

The royal priest began the ceremony.

The vows were simple yet powerful.

Promises of loyalty.

Responsibility.

Leadership.

And love.

When the vows were finished the priest raised his voice.

"By the authority of the royal crown of Genovia…"

"I declare Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi the rightful Queen of Genovia."

Thunderous applause filled the cathedral.

Mia had become Queen.

The priest then turned toward Ryan.

"And I declare Ryan Giri…"

"King of Genovia."

The crowd applauded once again.

Ryan and Mia looked at each other.

Years of struggle, growth, and change had led to this moment.

But the ceremony was not finished.

Later that evening, inside the palace gardens, a smaller private ceremony took place.

Only close friends and family were present.

The atmosphere was softer.

More personal.

Rachel stood quietly beside Ryan.

The world outside might not fully understand their relationship, but everyone important already knew the truth.

Ryan took her hand.

"Are you ready?" he asked softly.

Rachel smiled.

"I've been ready for years."

The small ceremony that followed was simple.

But for Ryan it meant something even greater.

Because the moment their vows were finished—

A sound echoed inside his mind.

DING

A familiar interface appeared before his eyes.

For years the system had remained silent.

Now it was finally alive.

A glowing line of text appeared.

Ryan froze for a moment.

Rachel noticed immediately.

"What happened?"

Ryan smiled slowly.

"It's starting."

The system interface expanded.

New text appeared.

First Portal Ready

Ryan looked up toward the night sky.

For the first time in years he could feel the presence of something beyond their world.

Something vast.

Something endless.

Mia stepped beside him.

"You feel it too?" she asked quietly.

Ryan nodded.

Rachel looked between them.

"So this is it?"

Ryan smiled.

"Yes."

Far above the palace gardens, unseen by everyone else, space itself seemed to ripple for a brief moment.

A doorway.

A gateway to other worlds.

The adventure that had been waiting for years had finally begun.

And this time…

The entire multiverse was waiting.
