Chapter 6
Well after the first chapter was released the next week passed quickly. Ryan again went back to his normal routine of going to school in the morning and drawing manga after coming home. At night he also started reading newspapers and books about the financial markets because he knew that in the coming years many big financial events would happen and he wanted to be prepared before that.
In this week the second chapter of Pokémon was also released by Dawn Publishing. This time the company printed more copies than the first time because the first print of 10000 copies was already sold out in New York. Still the editors were nervous because sometimes first chapters sell because of publicity but later chapters don't.
At Dawn Publishing office Sam again came early in the morning to check the data. Many editors were already sitting there waiting for the report. When the data arrived one of the editors shouted that the sales were even better than the first chapter. Sam first told everyone to calm down but inside he was also excited because the reader survey also came today.
Manga magazines depended a lot on reader surveys because they told which manga people liked the most. When they opened the survey results Pokémon was already ranked near the top even though it was a new manga. Everyone in the office became excited again.
One of the editors said that kids especially liked the Pokémon creatures and many parents were buying the magazine because their children asked for it. Another editor also said that toy companies might become interested in this because the creatures could easily be turned into toys.
Sam nodded while hearing this. In his mind he was already thinking about the future. If this continued then Pokémon could become a very big franchise.
At the same time Ryan was sitting in school listening to the teacher while drawing small Pokémon sketches in his notebook. During lunch break many students were talking about the new manga.
Some kids were arguing which Pokémon was the best and some were saying that Pikachu was the cutest one. Ryan just sat there quietly listening to them.
Rachel came and sat beside him and said that the manga was becoming really popular. Chandler again started teasing him and said that soon Ryan would become a famous mangaka and forget about them.
Ryan just laughed and told them that even if he became famous he wouldn't forget his friends.
Meanwhile at Dawn Publishing Sam also started reading some of the Naruto and One Piece chapters that Ryan had submitted earlier. The more he read them the more surprised he became.
Naruto had strong action and emotional story while One Piece had an amazing world and adventure story. Sam realized that if these two manga were also published then Dawn Publishing might get three big series at the same time.
That night after coming home Ryan again sat at his desk looking at the manuscripts. Pokémon was already running and Naruto and One Piece were ready.
He smiled slightly and wrote something in his notebook.

Capital for future investments.
Ryan knew that manga was only the first step. The real goal was still ahead.
