_______________

BOOM!

SKRIIING!

BURST!

The sound of heavy footsteps was followed by the shrill screech of claws scraping across a metallic surface, creating friction so intense that red flames burst through the air.

"FIREEEE!"

DING

DING

DING

Bullets poured like a burst dam, raining upon him:

A two-meter-tall creature stood before them.

Its left side was blackened muscle, burned to a crisp, while its right side was beastly, with a longer arm covered in thick crimson veins, ending in wide claws.

The bullets forced it back a couple of steps, but then,

Ahhhhh

Its maw opened, thick white smoke pouring out, and it glitched out of existence.

A flash of crimson light tore through the soldiers' ranks, with such force that it was like a storm had hit them head-on, flinging them into the metallic walls.

'Warn them...I have to warn them.'

The world was pitch black to him, with bright red humanoid figures, shooting out beams of yellow, but he charged through them, knocking them aside.

As he reached the exit,

BOOOOOOM!

The ground shook as a massive figure, radiating a brighter crimson glow, slammed into the ground.

WHIIIIIR

A bazooka whirred to life, raised high, and pointed right at his chest.

"END GAME BAZOOKA! UNLEASH!"

BOOOOOOM!

The air trembled as a gigantic missile burst forward toward the creature, which slashed out its claw in an uppercut motion.

It forcefully swerved the missile's motion, sending it up into the sky before it exploded against the metallic wall, white smoke billowing outward.

The hunter who had shot the missile quickly tried to reload, but he had yet to do so when a claw grabbed at his shoulder, jerking him forward.

"YOU BASTA_!"

BAAAAANG!

The creature slammed its forehead right into the man's, sending his eyes rolling to the back of his head.

His unconscious body was dropped to the side,

Finally, he stepped out.

In his vision, there were hundreds of bright reds, as bright as the one he had just overpowered, blocking his path in a circular enclosure.

His lifeforce was fading, making the world grow dimmer, yet his mission carried him:

'Warn them...I need to warn them.'

"KILL HIM!"

The order came, and immediately it rained upon him.

Bullet after bullet came pouring down upon him, missiles launched, exploding and dragging him backward.

His massive claws tried to shield his face from the barrage, but against some of the most powerful firearms possessed by the United Earth Federation, held by A-rank Hunters, they could only do so much.

His skin was ripped through, and his body was covered in holes, yet his wolf-like ears twitched desperately as he tried to make out the voice that had issued the command to fire.

He found him, a figure that burned pitch black instead of red.

'It's him...the traitor!'

"DRAAAAUGGGRRRRRR!"

A thick beastly roar burst from his maw as he lunged toward him, ignoring the bullets.

He stood alone on the skyscraper, unmoving.

DIIIIEEEEE

He brandished his massive, beastly claws, cleaving toward him, but before they could reach, something flashed from the side.

A scythe-like claw burning with purple lights.

It smashed into the side of his ribs, with such force that his body arced sideways and was blown into the distance.

BANG!

BAANG!

BAAANG!

Three buildings in his path were completely obliterated before he slammed into the ground, carving open an abyssal chasm.

RUUUUSSSTLE

A silent rustle sounded as three figures appeared at the mouth of the dark chasm, looking down at the creature.

Right before their eyes, his hulking, monstrous form began to revert back to normal...back to human.

"White..."

The call echoed out as White, in the chasm, raised his head with much difficulty to look at them.

His teeth creaked together, cracks running through them at the sight of one of them, the one to the far left.

"It's...him!"

Every word he spoke drew blood from his mouth, yet his dying gaze remained fixed on him.

"The Beast of Draugr... is Draugr."

"He destroyed the 4th, 5th, and 6th bases, killing all 200 Hunters, and is responsible for the 700 civilian deaths in Modred Continent."

"It's... Draugr!"

He spoke with the last bit of strength he had left, before collapsing, but a hand caught him before he fell, drawing him into an embrace.

With the transformation leaving him, he saw her clearly.

A lady with a face like a divine celestial, strands of her luminous purple hair brushing against his face.

"Supreme Commander Lorianette..." White called out to the lady.

"I swear upon my last breath. Draugr is the enemy."

"I... swear it...I swear it's him."

He whispered, turning his eyes to look up at the Commander, but what he saw made his heart sink.

The Commander's eyes, which he clearly remembered as round and vividly purple, had changed to a lifeless pitch-black with a serpentine crimson line at their center.

"I believe you, Madwhite...We all do."

She whispered back to him, her hands slowly shifting to his neck.

They morphed in the next moment, fingers turning into pale, sickle-like claws.

"Then why...Oh, no, Lorianette."

Her face was changing. That celestial beauty had morphed into something beastly.

"You've sided with them..."

He slowly turned to the other Commanders who stared at him in silence.

"You've all sided with them...You've all betrayed Humanity."

"Humanity has already fallen, White. All we did...All I did was choose not to fall with it. We chose...to survive."

"You should have just stayed dead, White."

"You should have died along with your Combat squad."

"Then at least, you would have died a recorded hero and been given a proper burial...my love."

Those were the last words White heard before the claws dug into his neck.

CRACK!

The sound of bone snapping rang out, and something rolled to the ground, blood spraying into the air.

{ATTENTION ALL HUNTERS.}

"The rebel Hunter, Madwhite, has been successfully exterminated."

"Good Job, Everyone!"
