The following weeks were a blur of hidden glances and stolen hours. Julian took Elara to the places he loved—gritty rooftop bars, hidden gardens, and bustling markets. He photographed her constantly. Not the posed, stiff versions of her, but the way she laughed when a pigeon startled her, or the focused line between her brows when she read a menu.

"You're blurring my edges," Elara told him one night as they walked along the Thames. The city lights danced on the water like fallen stars. "Good," Julian replied, winding his arm around her waist. "Edges are just limits we set for ourselves." But the reality of Julian's life began to creep in. His phone buzzed with assignments from Paris, New York, and Rio. He was a man of the world, and Elara was a woman of a single room. The contrast was starting to ache. She saw the restlessness in his eyes when he looked at the horizon, even as he held her hand. He belonged to the journey, and she was a destination. She wondered if he was capable of staying, or if she was brave enough to follow. The ink of their story was still wet, and she feared the smudge.
